POLLY JEAN HARVEY,the woman who followed the patti smith's influences,and catalogued as onoe of the most important singers and songwriters in this century.New album:White Chalk,there you can find how with a piano and a phantasmagorical voice she made another and unsuspected album,because she is not dark or something else....that's why is weird this album.

I have not even heard of this artist, BUT.....she is definitely someone to
check out!
I love piano playing, it is so beautiful, and always makes the music
that much better.

I looked up the lyrics to A Perfect Day Elise, today. I was surprised to find out that "Elise" means God is satisfaction; it just adds that much more to the song. <3

Really? I didn't know that; that's pretty cool. I've also heard A Perfect Day Elise is based on J.D. Salinger's short story A Perfect Day for Bananafish. I still haven't read it (not a big Salinger fan), but I plan on it soon.

The best song ever is "Who the f__ck"
And about the piano,yes in White chalk she plays piano,and there's a song that sounds like tori amos,with a voice very spooky.
A good song is also, "The devil",that she calls to the devil,:"please come, come come, for me i am here, come".The only female in this century that really deserves credit,all others like C.love,girl bands,all copies,an all of them influenced for: POLLY JEAN HARVEY.
