Paint Shop Pro 9 / Photoshop

this question may seem stupid but is the adobe photoshop program free to download? i lost my program that came free with the computer when my laptop crashed.

I think it's only free if you download it off Limewire or some other free filesharing program. That's where I got it. However, be warned--the Photoshop program is smart. The first time I started mine up it said "You have the FULL free 30-day trial! Would you like to buy the serial number now?"

So I guess at the end of my 30 days, when it stops letting me use all the features, I'm going to have to uninstall and re-download the stupid thing.

Doubt that that will work. The program will make a mark in your registry stating that you used it as a trial, so after the trial, uninstalling it will get rid of the program, but not the registry keys.

CS3 costs upwards of $800 +

You need to download a key generator in order to crack a serial number for it. It takes a while to find a good one so you have to be patient.

LOL. So it turns out that the version of PhotoShop I downloaded from Limewire actually came with its own key generator. I typed in the first one that came up, and it worked! So now, I'm proud to say I have the full, forever version of Photoshop CS3 and didn't pay a damn cent for it. Teehee.

I had to delete Photoshop and Adobe thing. They did something to my computer and made my other programs not work, so maybe I downloaded a viris that looked like the Photoshop thing. Anyway, I am going to see what my sister has, and hopefully she'll tell me the best way to get this program without it causing trouble.

I have Vista, if that helps. It's probably the cause of the problem.
