I was never the biggest Eddie fan, but I respected him alot. He was without a doubt one of the best *wrestlers* in the WWE. He will be sorely missed.

For those of you who are curious about this thread and wonder what keeps us watching, you should have seen tonight's Raw.

You have to understand that what some of these athlete performers go through is more than just a physical toll...and often times the physical toll is heavy (for example, Terry Funk basically has no knees now after 25+ years of wrestling).

This also takes a toll on their personal lives, too.

Often times, these guys have to do 200 or more shows a year just to put food on their own and/or their family's table. Often times, they are seperated by their family and sometimes personal problems develop because of that whether that's depression, divorce, or any other problem like that (which is why Chris Benoit and Dave Batista's tributes were the ones I found most poignant).

They, like other touring performers (musicians and other athletes), are willing to put those issues aside to perform in front of however many people there are at a particular venue on a particular day just to make us laugh, cry, cheer, boo, or just find a way to escape for a couple of hours.

And that, more than anything, is the reason that I am mourning the loss of Eddie Guerrero.

He will be missed dearly.

My favorite memories watching all of the clips both on the show and online would probably be the night that he won the championship and jumped into the crowd and then joining Benoit when he won the title at Wrestlemania XX.
You pretty much summed it all up right there. Watching guys go out there and wrestle in tribute and memory to Eddie was a real treat. The tribute videos were very touching and showed everyone how much of a family the whole WWE locker room really is. I found the show's ending with Cena laying down the "I'm Your Papi" shirt, with the title belt at the bottom and just leaving the ring was a really nice, fitting touch.

Yes, hes ruthless, yes hes quite an ass, but hes also a buisness man.
He runs a company that in one quarter can bring in 336 MILLION dollars. Hes not perfect. and its not like they are forced to do it. A talent can walk anytime he/she pleases. Its a clause in their contract. Just like WWE can release them at anytime. Another thing, what these people do, doesnt go un noticed. Eddies Wife, and kids can live off Eddies royalties from WWE for a long time.

I am not even going there. Vince did a lot for owens family and STILL does a lot.

Do you think things like this are planned? Do you know that WWE programming is written so well, that things like this can/do screw up the storylines? Do you know the risks they take to air a special raw like they did tonight? Its a lot of them.

Theres no crying in fuckin wrestling!!

I cried all the way through. It was the saddest thing i have ever seen in my life.
Seeing all them speaking so highly of Eddie touched me. It didnt help that all these men were crying. It broke my heart.
They couldn't of ended the show any better.

Anyone that thinks this is planned deserves a good kick where it hurts. I do know that a show like this screws everything planned. Just one guy not being able to perform one night can screw things up pretty badly, trust me I was in the business long enough to see a bunch of shows being rewritten at the last minute because of stuff like that.

RIP Eddie. He is a huge loss to the wrestling industry, and will certainly be missed by many many people, including myself. The RAW tribute last night was amazing

On a lighter note, anyone heard Christian's new theme?

http://www.tnawrestling.com/roster

Click that, then go to the 'Christian Cage' theme in the media player on the right hand side. It might sound a bit familiar...

Eddie will be missed.
It feels really abnormal.. I'm still kinda numb about the whole thing.
It feels like a bad dream.

Hey Road Dogg's there!! Ah the old faces...

**EDIT** The Alpha Male's theme is also "familiar", especially cos it keeps going OO-WA-AA-AA!!

As well as 2 Snoop Dogg rip off intros on there.

And of course Toxicity by SOAD being sampled.

The intros are terrible though.
