For pads, I got a really good RedOctane pad...It was $80. It lasted a long time- eventually, I played it so much, I began to cut the inside of the pad and the sensors would get misaligned and...stuff. It was fun while it lasted. I beat both games (well...unlocked everything)

Even though parts of it do seem a little lame or childish, the story and ideas behind it all are amazing.

Crazy Taxi's AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I was soooooooo addicted to it!!!

I got Simpsons Road Rage. Tis exactly the same as Crazy Taxi, except with Simpsons characters

I just got SSX Tricky yesterday! It's sooooooooooooo sweet. My friends didn't like it because it wasn't realistic enough for them, but that's exactly why I love it!! The people snowboard waaay faster than the "realistic" snoboarding games. And you get HUGE air with unimaginable tricks! Way more showy (is that a word?) than say Amped. (Not to dis Amped, it's a great game, but I enjoy the cartoony and impossible showy stuff in SSX ) Oh, and it was only $19.98 Cdn.

The only game I can really recommend right now is NHL 2005. Yeah, if you like hockey, it's one kick ass hockey game. Not as good as NHL 2004, but it's better than NHL 2K5 in my opinion. Plus, since there's no real hockey , it's a great way to get your hockey fix. Another one to try is Athens 2004. No better way to relive the Olympics than by playing them on your PS2.

Sorry, I can only really recommend sports games, more specifically hockey games.

I've been hating my gamecube lately too, there haven't been any new games all summer(except for Tales) but the future games are looking better. I've been thinking about getting the PStwo when it comes out, its just so tiny and there are just so many games for the playstation. I've been thinking if i should get the PStwo or just save up and get lots of games when the Nintendo DS comes out, that thing is gonna be awesome!

well, people have already mentioned the majority of the good games out right now.

Thought I'd add Klonoa 2 to the list. IT's got a bit of a kiddy look to it, but it's an awesome 2 1/2-d platformer and the gameplay isn't kiddy stuff.

Also, if you can find it, try the first Klonoa for the PS1. It's the same idea as the first one. The ending is absolutely heart-wrenching. But the game is awesome.
