Ok i have had a gamecube for ages, and the games have gone crap. So im going to get a PS2, so can you name some games that are highly recommended.

It all depends on what you like

RPG: Final Fantasy 10
Strategy: Dynasty Tactics/Kessen 2
Horror: Resident Evil, Silent Hill
Shooting: Medal of Honour
Platform: Rayman/Spyro/ Crash
Fighting: Tekken Tag
Military: Metal Gear Solid

The list goes on.

I just got Burnout 3 for Xbox, and its one of the best games I've played. They also make it for PS2, so you should defiantly get that. Its great even if you dont usually like racing games.

Syphon Filter! That's like the trademark Playstation game!! So is Twisted Metal!

A lot of games are out on all systems, so I'll assume you're asking for stuff that's just out for PS2?

Grand Theft Auto series (III, Vice city, and the new game: San Andreas), Gauntlet Dark Legacy, Dark Cloud. Those are great games.

Donkey Konga drops next week for Gamecube but hey it'll be a good game I'm sure.

Fatal Frame, Max Payne, The Suffering, GTA etc.. I think the first two I said are only 20 bucks..

I concur with Burnout, although I only have Burnout 2 right now. But 2 pwns as well.

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance (?) I think that's what it's called. You can fight. a lot. and it pwns.

And since you can play PS games on PS2, you should get Evil Zone. It's an interesting game... Fighting game, with only one attack button, the triangle. But MANY variations of attacks... It's hard to explain, you just gotta get it.
