Everybody has to die.

I died...

Eventually,
You'll die too.

Wow i just loved Apparition to me it is somewhat romantic and slightly disturbing... beautiful! <3

Ok, so it's been awhile since I updated, so I want to put something up. But first I'd like to thank you all for commenting on the last three.

Violette, FelicityS, and SlowlyEyeFade:

I'm sorry to respond to you all at the same time, it's extremely rude considering what excellent comments you all gave me, but my work schedule is merciless and I've just been exhausted lately.

I'm so glad that you guys comment, and that my poems have an affect on you, it's always hard to find what to say without repeating myself. But I don't want any of you to ever doubt how much it means to me, really. It means a lot. Thank you so much...

And Uriel - Yukio:

Jesus man, you always manage to leave me feeling undeserving of such flattery...

I've always enjoyed reading your poems and I've always been surprised by the amount of encouragement that I receive from you.

You're the shit.

That's pretty crude, but it's the best I can say.

Thanks man.

Now I suppose I should put something else up.

I hope you all like it, and as always, thanks for reading.

------------------------------------------

Sweetest Moment:

You catch my sidelong glance, and smile,
Ever so slightly.
You are looking intently at my face.
Can you see what I am thinking?

I move the slightest bit.
Carefully, and slowly...

[Skipping through the tall grass of the field]
[And laughing]
[Your eyes sparkling]
[Cautiously, I follow you]
[You come back to me, breathless]
[Your sun-sweat smell nearly overpowering me]
[Watching you in the grass, I am nearly overcome]

I can think of nothing but you.

I can't see anything but you.

I'm so overjoyed to be with you.

Filled with satisfaction,

'Cause I'm near you.

Lying in the afternoon shadows,
We speak warmly, of our fondest memories.
And time races past, and the day goes on.
Unending, and unfettered, from the rest of the universe.

Looking back on this,
I know I'll always feel, how warm the sun felt on my skin.
I know I'll always smell, your sweet smell, your familiar fragrance.
I know I'll always feel, how your touch, fixed so much.
And made life better for me.
And I know I'll always cherish this, time...
When I was complete.

[Skipping through the tall grass of the field, and laughing]
[Your eyes sparkling]
[Helplessly, I follow you]
[You look back to me, breathless]
[Your sun-sweet smile overpowering me]
[Watching you in the grass, I am nearly overcome]

This poem kinda reminds me of puppy love. How sweet and promising it seems, and how complete and wonderful the world becomes when you're in love. And it almost plays itself out like a script for a play or movie - the text in brackets seems to provide some action or visualization to the piece. That I find very kewl.

And please don't worry about not being able to respond to our comments sooner. I completely understand - I just happen to come here more often than I probably should. *lol* We all have lives outside of EvBoard, so don't think your appreciation of our visiting your thread goes unnoticed.

Thanks Violette, I'm glad that you liked this one. It's different from all of my others, and I don't ever intend to make another. It's fun to try out new ways of expressing an idea and seeing how far you can go with it. There's about a million ways to write, so I guess that I'm just getting started.

TO EVERYONE:

I am editing the page proofs for the upcoming release of my book, "Sententious - Subtly Changing." The deadline is August 10th, and I should have a release date assigned shortly after that.

For those of you that are interested, you can check out my practice website at: www.freewebs.com/nameless49

You may or may not find something that you haven't read there, but most importantly, I'm looking for some feed back. So if you do decide to stop by, please sign the guest book, (even if it's just your name) so that I know you were there. And then drop me a comment in my thread here and tell what I might be able to improve before my publisher gives me my own web space.

And I also should just get this out of the way since you'll find out anyway if you check out my website. I've been posting here as Nameless for a few years and very few of you know my name. I should share that with you now though, since you can't buy my book if you don't know it right?

My name is Patrick T. Kaylor and I've been writing stories and poetry since I was a child. This will be my first book in circulation, and I would be honored if some if you deemed my poetry book worth paying for. I could certainly use your support.

Thanks, as always, for reading and commenting you guys.

It's always meant more to me than you know.

Take Care...
-Patrick

I liked Sweetest Moment. It was a very nice read. And it's cool that you're writing a book. Good luck with that!

Thanks for the support you guys. I really mean it.

I made my deadline, and submitted my page proofs a few days ago. I have already received my finished text, and re-submitted it, with all corrections made.

My book will now go into cover design. I should hear from that department within the next week or two, and I will have a release date set shortly after that.

If everything goes well, "Sententious - Subtly Changing," should be released by the end of the year with no problems.

I'm very excited.

I will continue to post new material here, and in my usual other places.

So, as always, thanks for reading, and have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks to ~river~ and Return to Chaos for your compliments, and for your support.

And Violette, I REALLY appreciate the fact that you checked out my website (www.freewebs.com/nameless49) and took the time to sign my guest book. That was really cool of you. I mean it.

I'll keep you guys updated on the book, and I'll update my website with the cover design when I get it back from my publisher within the next week or two.

Well, I've got the day off, so I might as well update my thread while I'm still awake with something from the book that I'm working on. I hope that you guys like it.

Thanks for reading, as always.

Tomorrow:

The wind outside is howling;
The trees discard their garments.
Their green and gold,
And shades of orange and brown.

Beneath the ever brightening sky…

Shadows skirt the sidewalks,
Moving with the music of the world:
The orchestral sound of birds;
The sounds,
Of foot-falls, car engines, airplanes…

And in my sleepless stupor,
I perceive,
From foggy, dew soaked windows,
A life just out of reach…

For an isolated, introverted, adolescent,
Who never seemed to find his way,
Through crowds of mindless people;
Hordes of careless conquerors,

With no one left to subjugate…

I press my palms against,
The damp, cold glass…
And know this day will also…

Pass…
