Watching the setting sun slowly descend
The same way it has for so many years.
Letting the wind hit my unblinking eyes
So they'll be too dry to create any tears.
Pondering on all these recent moments
As their pictures slideshow through my mind.
Wondering why the peace we worked so hard for
Had to suddenly be left behind.
Questioning your once unshakable stability
As you let go of all the things that matter.
Realizing, that just an instant of dishonesty
Caused all my trust in you to shatter.
Blaming you for this sickening wound
That has slowly infected my unguarded soul.
Screaming for tranquility to return to me
As I watch chaos and turmoil take control.
Warning you constantly, that your foolish behavior
Will only lead to a path of regret.
Ignoring your apologies, for they bring no change
Except for an increase of pain and neglect.
Searching for some kind of strength for my bones
Because my hands are losing their grip on this rope.
Knowing I'll never get through this alive
If I can't sustain my sanity and hope.
Praying the stories of restoration I hear
Will someday prove themselves to be true.
Fearing, that though I try to forget,

Very deep meaning. All these poems have such passion behind them that it's like reading the pages of someone's journal. I stumbled upon these poems reading your AIM profile, and I have to say that they are wonderful pieces of work. I admire your faith so much, but it's hard to find alot of people today with this much faith.

It is amazing to have such faith,, and showing it publicly like this is showing that you truly put all your faith in God. I can only Imagine what you may have gone through in your life, but you still stay strong through these poems. I admire that in a person. I came across this thread reading your AIM profile, and I find pure faith in every piece that you've written here.

i loved the two new pieces you decided to share. i felt more emotion in the second piece and it seemed to me as though you just went with the flow with that one which made it so powerful. the first one seemed more polished, that's probably because of the rhyming, but that was the great thing about it. it didn't come across as forced or anything negative like that. here are my favorite parts from Home Sweet Home.....

...My Thread Resurrected...

Well, I decided I've been gone from this board for far too long...so i'm back! at least for right now well i had to write a poem for a poetry project i'm doing...and this poem is a very specific type, i think its called a versallan, its a French form of poetry that is very specific...it has exactly 19 lines, consists of 5 3 line stanzas with an a-b-a rhyme scheme, a 4 line stanza with an a-b-a-a rhyme scheme, and the repeating of lines 1,3,6,9,12,15,18, and 19. when the teacher first assigned it, i was like, oh crud, this is gonna be hard, but i was suddenly magically inspired...i must say the poem is somewhat basic, but it is expressing personal feelings i have at the moment...so...here is the poem! hope you guys like it, critique welcome

Let us forget about all the pain we've been through.
We only must remember what will put our hearts at ease.

We can leave behind this earth of disease,

hey i have a new song to share with you guys!!! i've been very busy lately...with school, and a ton of family drama...but i managed to write something today! its suppose to be a saracastic view on...well, i'm sure you'll know what the song's about after you read it!

Forever(never lasts)

Lighting a fire right next to some T.N.T.
Usually brings about destructive results.

Just step into the quicksand before checking if it's safe.
Just tought the oven door before checking if it's hot.
And just walk down the aisle and say,"I do,"
Before checking to see if you're ready or not.

Just hope that you can stay strong,
With the emotion of infatuation,
And if "I love you" becomes just a phrase,
Then there's always another option:
