Creativity linked to active sex lives
Artists, poets have twice as many sexual partners, researchers find
Updated: 7:06 p.m. ET Nov. 29, 2005

LONDON - Pablo Picasso, Lord Byron and Dylan Thomas had more in common than simple creativity. They also had active sex lives, which researchers said on Wednesday was no coincidence.

Professional artists and poets have about twice as many partners as other people, British psychologists have found.

Their creativity seems to act like a sexual magnet.

Camera Pill... anybody about to take one? http://www.centracare.com/sch/center...a_feature.html

Related news stories.

Doctors see more with camera pill. Shoots 50,000 still images...

And it's now it's being used in Hawaii! http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/ar.../ln/ln09a.html

I found this part intriguing... to say the least:

Quote:
He said the pill camera costs about $450. He said they are not reused, although one Queen's patient brought one back to the hospital after it passed through her gastrointestinal tract.
Man, science is going beserk.

Death Penalty

Mmm, I love legalized capital punishment. It goes so well with my cereal in the morning (seriously). Looks like today we've reached the 1,000th execution - yay America! ^__________^

I feel as if I'm being far too elated over this sort of thing, and that I shouldn't be so. Hmm...

:P Enjoy the details kiddies!

End.

Well, I thought this qualified as legitimate news that warrented discussion, not just another random news story. Apparently others didn't think so.

From CNN

Quote:
:
Federal air marshals shot and killed a man on a boarding bridge at Miami International Airport after he said he had a bomb, two sources familiar with the incident told CNN.

Flight 924 was in Miami on a stopover during a flight from Medellin, Colombia, to Orlando, Florida, when the man said there was a bomb in his carry-on luggage, a Department of Homeland Security official said.

He was confronted by a team of federal air marshals, who pursued the man down the boarding bridge and ordered him to get on the ground, the official said.

When the man appeared to reach into his baggage, at least one shot was fired by the marshals, wounding the man, the official said, adding that marshals' actions were consistent with their training.

Upon investigation, there was no evidence that the man had a bomb, an official said.....

Not much to say here. He paid the price for his foolish actions. Why would he say he had a bomb unless he did? The Air Marshalls did their job accordingly, at least according to initial reports. I am anxious to see how this story develops.

(and, i would have been able to fix my spelling errors the first time around if this board didn't crap out right after I pressed 'send')

Everybody thinks their news story is legitimate news that "warrents" [sic] discussion. But this story is no more special than any other news story posted in this thread. Sorry.

I'm sure the ACLU and those type groups will have something to say...

....

Apparently an asteroid could be on a collision course with Earth that would hit in just 31 years.

Quote:
In Egyptian myth, Apophis was the ancient spirit of evil and destruction, a demon that was determined to plunge the world into eternal darkness.
A fitting name, astronomers reasoned, for a menace now hurtling towards Earth from outerspace. Scientists are monitoring the progress of a 390-metre wide asteroid discovered last year that is potentially on a collision course with the planet, and are imploring governments to decide on a strategy for dealing with it.
