Alright peeps, here is the deal. We are going to moving the threads from the PS group out into the public forums. Some threads might be edited due to offensive content but for the most part they will be left as is. If we feel a thread is to offensive and beyond repair then we'll move it to a private archive rather than deleting it.

Those currently in the PS group will remain it it. We will also be renaming the group to something more generic so we can get away from the whole Paid Subscriber confusion. Its this part of it that I'd like to ask you all for input on. Especially those in the PS group. What new name would you like attached to the User group?

"EVboard Elder"
"EVboard Contributor"
"EVboard Supporters"

You get the idea....lets get some opinions on new names for the group and we'll go with the most popular.

Those in the group would maintain all their perks including avatar sizes, file sizes and ad free browsing of the site. From this point on, to gain entry into this group you must have been a member of this board for 4 years. If you have been registered for that long then feel free to PM me and I'll get you converted over as soon as the mod team moves out all the old threads into the public forums and I rename the group.

We might change a few of the timespan of how long you have to be registered if 4 years proves to be to long. That will be decided amongst the moderator team and if we change it we'll inform everyone here in site announcements. If you have questions feel free to ask

To clarify- would the people already in the PS group have to be members for 4 years to remain in the group? Because there are a lot of cool people who registered in 2004 *cough* me* who have been PS for ages and should get to stay in the group.

I kinda like EvBoard Elder, it makes me feel old and wise (as opposed to just old, which is how I ordinarily feel.)

Heh, good luck with that. I have no doubt that almost every single thread there will need some sort of 'editing' for public view.

Can you elaborate on this 'private' archive? I need to know what posts of mine I have to go through and fix - sorry everyone but there are things I've posted in that section that are not anyone's business in the public view.

Okay...question. I know that your post has almost definitely already answered this, but I just want to clarify. People who've been voted into the PS forum who haven't been around for 4 years--are they staying in the group or no? It's not an enormous issue for me, except that it would be strange for me to be in a group called "EvBoard Elders" or something like that, when I'm not technically an "elder" (unless you count my lurking time, lol).

If that was a stupid question then please feel free to smack me.

I like Evboard Elder best, it sounds really cool.

Also I think four years is too long. Two years would be better - I think there are more people here who registered in the past two years than the past four...I agree with Brainys last siggestion, too.
