Um.. I'm not sure how I really feel about this but when I try to give rep or other people give me rep it just comes up as instead of green grey. Can anyone help me out with this?

Anyone who has a low reputation score (ie hasn't done enough to be reputable) gives only gray dots. It's to keep people from creating 10 bazillion new accounts just to rep themselves to get a higher reputation.

There's no point in even having the rep system if the member's themselves can't neg rep anyone. People are going to start shit over rep. It's going to happen, and it means absolutely nothing. If someone is going to start something over a rep point or whatever, then they obviously need a little reality check. And if someone is attacked via rep, then that's what the mod team is for.

I don't see a problem in not being able to give people bad reputation. Sadly enough, there's a bunch of immature people in every board, who always are to make problems, and that's when measurements like this one have to take place
