Retro consoles - EvBoard

Okay, im a massive fan of video games and an even bigger fan of the old school late 80's/early 90's consoles. Anybody else a fan? If so, what were your favourite consoles and games?

NES
SNES
Sega Mega Drive
Sega Master System
Atari
Commodore 64
Atari Jaguar
Sega Genesis
N64
PS1

Those are the retro consoles I own

I love SNES, NES, Sega, N64.

I wish I still had all of them. I think I may have my purple N64 somewhere, and I have a Sega but there's a cord missing.

There is a lack of console love on this forum

Everyone pick up a SNES from eBay or something and get Super Ghouls and Ghosts!

actually, i'm looking on ebay for super ninendo controlers so i can plug my brothers machine in and start playing super mario world.....mostly super mario brothers. i still own and play a ps1 platform, both with the original sytem and using a ps1 adapter to play ps1 rips on my computer.

i wish i still had my commodore 64... i had a couple of VERY good games on that one.......namely kid grid, archon, mario brothers, and radar rat race as a hard cassette you plugged into the back expansion port. my brothers were just mentioning it this morning!!!

also, ive done some google searchng and found several sites that offer original retro games for downlad. i quite like original pac man.

Just get Super Mario All Stars, it contains the original 3 games I believe

i belive thats the one my brother has. my kids got his console on loan while he was away, and played it till they broke all the paddles.

I have an:

atari 2600
sega genesis
nintendo
game boy
game gear

all of which still work. the atari is close to 30 years old.

as far as the new stuff.

I have:
sega dreamcast
ps2
gamecube
wii
nintendo ds
gameboy micro
gameboy advance

I've downloaded alot of the older games so I can play them on the wii.

The card game you're thinking of is Miles Bourne. That game kicked ass.

I used to have an Atari 2600, Commodore64/128, NES and then I went straight to PC and didn't own another console until we bought my son an N64 and then the dreaded Wii.

I have emulators on my PC for the 2600, C64 and NES so I can play the old games and feel young again. There is a company you guys might want to check out...

They refit old controllers with USB interfaces so you can use them with your PC and an emulator. Playing NES games on a PC with an NES controller kicks ass.
