Zelda and Marrowind! Man i forgot about those, been playin FFX-2 so I was sidetracked. Those games rawk!
I dun really like online games much like Everquest and FFXI because I don't like having to pay to play and I like enjoying the stories that other game makers make up for us to unravel. But thats just me ![]() |

Re: RPGs (Role Playing Games)
RedRooster, do you mean the original Lunar 1 & 2 on Sega CD?! .:dittos:.
Trogdor... get a Sega CD-X and play the original Lunar series (haha yeah right but good luck anyway!) I'll play Chrono Trigger sometimes just to run around the Millenial Fair :P and yes, I have played the entire game to the end not just the first part - pfft! Do SpaceQuest & Warcraft by Sierra count as RPGs-? *runs downstairs to play WarCraft III* "Are you STILL touching me??" *LOL!!* |

This may sound dumb, but my favorite is Kingdom Hearts. I love the combination of Final Fantasy feel with the Disney characters. *Patiently waits for the sequel* I also like the Tony Hawk games, although I have yet to get the Underground one.

Re: RPGs (Role Playing Games)

I really wanna get the new game for GBA Sword of Mana. I think its a sequal to Secret of Mana, either way it is still of the Mana series, and it is by Squaresoft, so if it is a Squaresoft game, it has to be A-fucking-mazing. I would never play Star Wars Galaxies. My mom's boyfriend used to play that and he was a huge Star Wars fan, but he quit and went to play Horizons because he said that Galaxies was way too fucking buggy and it just didn't feel like Star Wars. There wasn't even a single person to achieve Jedi until either last month or the month before that and the game had been out for a while. Now since people know how to get Jedi then everyone on the game will get Jedi and it will kill the game. This game isn't actually a Role Player, its more of an action RPG, if there is such a thing, but Castlevania: Lament of Innocence on the PS2 is fucking great. It was done by the same team that made Symphony of the Night (which was another insanly good Castlevania game) except for this game is in 3-D rather than 2-D (there were 3-D Castlevania games on the Nintendo 64, but those weren't for any account). Its only about a 10 hour game, but good god it is insanely fun and after you beat it, you unlock a secret character, and I may play back thru with him after I finish everything with the main character. I have been playing the Castlevania series since I was about 5 or 6 years old, so it was good to play as the first vampire hunting Belmont and learn how the Vampire Killer came into being. This game has great graphics, very good controls, awesome music, and amazing fun factor, I could hardly stop playing to sleep last night. I hear this is only the first part in a 3 game series (within the Castlevania series). I can't wait till the next one. |

my apologies Trogdor~!
*bows in reverence* Secret of Mana, aaah *bows again in awe of [glow=purple]Seiken Densetsu[/glow] (Legend of Mana), its many many sequel games and awesome soundtracks* I am so obsessed with Hiroki Kikuta's song "Angel Fear" I have so many different versions of it... and Yoko Shimomura's main theme for Seiken Densetsu 4 is beautiful... and the intro/extro song sung in Swedish by Annika .:swoon:. Heh, anywayz, the Legend of Mana / Secret of Mana RPG series is just classic. Long live Squaresoft >) RedRooster do you have the original Sega CDs for the Lunar games annnd want to get rid of them? I just like 'em more than the PSX versions because, I know the movies are horrible but, I love the music and the simplicity of the Sega CD versions. Then my brother went and sold them at a second-hand store, and got some copied discs of the games from a friend to replace them ;-; In fact they're probably collecting dust in a box downstairs somewhere! *hurries off* |

I still have the originally box set, but I should however forewarn you, you will in fact need Soundblaster 2.0 or higher and a double speed cd-rom or higher to actually play! Quote:

Suikoden II- Reminiscence... best song ever. And ya, Castlevania does have a great soundtrack, especially the remix versions. I know this isn't an RPG, but I have to give some credits to Monkey Island mostly just 1 and 2 |

Been playing console RPGs since the 16-bit era. Some of my favorites from that era include Lunar:The Silver Star, Chrono Trigger, Lufia II, and Final Fantasy 4. There's others but the list would go way too long
![]() I thought the music in the first Lunar on SegaCD was done better than Lunar:Silver Star Story. Everything else in the PSX version though was done much better than the original. However I thought quite the opposite of Lunar: Eternal Blue for SegaCD. It seemed horrible in every aspect after I had beaten the game, but the PSX version made up for all of those flaws and came out with something very extravagant(sp?). I like how they kept the songs from Eternal Blue and basically redid them to sound like they weren't all muffled and everything like they had been on the SegaCD. Basically though Lunar is my favorite console rpg series out there. It was really what got me into console rpgs in the first place. I've been playing pen and paper rpgs on and off since about freshman year in HS, which was quite some time ago. I've played a little bit of D&D, Vampire:The Masquerade(sp?), Mage:The Ascension, and Call of Chilou(sp?). EDIT:Oh yes Ultima. I've played a couple of those games. The first one was Exodus Ultima on the NES. I was so young when I played it that I couldn't figure out what to do. The other one was Ultima:Runes of Virtue II on the SNES. That caught my attention but I think I got stuck at some point in it or something. I know there was something that prevented me from completing it even though I got kinda far. The Ultima series sure is interesting one. It has something that makes it seem unique to it, but I'm not sure what. |

I heard that Working Designs (the people that brought the Lunar games to the PSX....not sure if they did it on Sega CD or not, but I know that Ubisoft did Lunar Legends for GBA [which was just Silver Star Story]) was working on making a Lunar 3, but not sure when that was supposed to come out, or even if they had started work on it.....I will do some research on this.
I am big into D&D also, I play with a group of about 7 (sometimes, but usually about 5) and 2 people DMing, it works out good usually. We are all right around level 3 and we ran into a Weretiger and it almost killed us all because we didn't know it had damage reduction of 15 (anything under 15 damage does no damage to it) but we ran out and closed the door, apparently tigers aren't that good at opening doors. |
