OMG.....I have tried to solve it many times, and not a hope
in hell. ![]() I will just stick to the cheating way. But I know that won't be right, I would rather overcome a challenge like this, but its fricking hard. * Sits for hours, and keeps working on it * ![]()

That video just makes me sick..
I could see the pattern that she was following after she had the cube to each solved "point", but I've tried and tried, and could never quite figure out just where to go after that point. Good show Jane!!!! ![]() |

1. Solve the white "X" (beginners should start with white because it's the easiest to identify). This means putting the white center and white corners properly into place. 2. Put the colored corners (not including the yellow, which is opposite the white face) into the correct position. This means the blue corners need to be on the blue side, not necessarily on the blue face. 3. Solve the yellow "X"... once you do this, all of the corners on all the faces will be solved. All that will be left to do is solve all the middle pieces. 4. Solve the white and yellow faces. This is easy enough, you just pop white and yellow pieces from the middle layer up into their correct positions on either face. 5. Solve the remaining middle pieces in the middle layer (in between the white and yellow faces). But each of those steps requires you to use different moves and be aware of different parts of the cube. Let me know which part you're stuck at, and I can help you along. ![]()

OH.EM.GEE. Guys: UPDATE!
I totally learned how to solve the cube using the layer method! That's TWO ways. ::Feels amazing:: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() EDIT: I officially do find the corners method simpler for beginners, just because you have to learn less algorithms... and two of them are so easy to remember, it's disgusting. For the layer method, you need to learn six and you only need four in the corners method. I define an algorithm as being a set of moves that allow you to move on to a subsequent step without messing up the cube. There are lots of other "moves" you use, that I wouldn't consider algorithms because they're kind of common sense, in my opinion. But actual long moves like: U R U' L' U R' U' L, so I definitely think the corner method is easier, but it's still TOTALLY cool and fun knowing both! ::Runs around with her cube showing off to her dogs::

I did the first step out of what you explained up there, but now I'm lost. *feels slightly stupid*

Honestly Nyx, it's very difficult to describe just in writing. I'll make another YouTube video explaining how to do it, that way I can actually show you and it'll make a lot more sense (but I'll only make a video of the next step, and then just let me know if you really want to know what's next). Besides, I really feel like the only way to learn how to do one of these is visually watching someone else do it. Otherwise, it's really hard to get the moves and the ideas into your head.
Give me about a week, because I have finals, so I might not get around to it until then. But I'll definitely get the next part up for you.

Sure thing, thanks. Take your time with it.
