I really don`t know how many times, I have to try to figuar this thing out,
but I never seem to get anywhere with it.
Just when I think I am, it go`s to all hell, and I get so frustated, and give up.
When I get to that stage, I just wanna smash the damn fuckin thing.

Just how I feel, when I am done.

XD

there's some sort of quadrant pattern that works to solve it no matter how fucked up it is. i have one and i can usually get at least one side done before i completely lose track of what i'm doing. they make my brain hurt but i fuckin' love Rubik's Cubes.

Getting one side done is as easy as pie now, you learn to see the patterns after a while. I haven't given it another shot since my last post since I hid the cube from my dad so that he doesn't ruin it again, and I completely forgot about it myself. XD

Um, yeah, like Nyx said, solving a single side is so easy I could probably do it half braind dead and blind. It literally would take me 10-20 seconds to solve a single side at the MOST. You don't have to know any fancy quadrant pattern techniques to solve one side. Usually solving a single side is just about looking at the cube and FIGURING it out, lol.

However, that being said, it's a pretty useless thing to just solve one side of the cube... it's just a real useless position, and very difficult to solve the rest of the cube that way. Usually you have to do certain things simultaneously, even when you solve the cube using the layers method.

I DID IT!!!!

Though I have to admit that I searched for clues on solving the last layer because it was driving me crazy, haha. But I did it.

And I can do this one just like you said, no more than 3 moves from the completed cube:

Congratulations on solving it!

The checkerboard pattern is just as easy. All you do is move each middle section 180 degrees (two quarter turns).
