Scarlett Rayne's Photoshop stuff (some Ev related/inspired) - EvBoard

Hmmmmm I guess I'll begin by posting 1 of the layouts i've made for people... I'm a huge fan of iframes over tables so that's what the majority of these BGs and what not are designed for

First up is an Amy one I did for my buddy Covell... Covell uses Amy as the pic base for one of the characters he writes for so I made this layout for him

I was listening to listen to the rain and ascension of the spirit when I was making this and the influence of the music is seen with the stormy clouds, the spirit like image of amy in the bg, just you know

LOL this one is one of my favs.... Too bad I couldn't find a better scan of the faded image or else I would have used that as my focal point instead... Over all I think it has a nice fit though I think I could have done way better with it

Second is another ev inspired BG I made for my friend Mark who's characters use Julia Styles and Josh Hartnett as their pic bases... I was listening to pretty much every version of My Immortal I have LOL (piano vocal, band, origin, with strings, acoustic)

I used a pretty nice kinda softened pic of Julia sitting down near some sort of tall weeds or something LOL I'm not sure what kinda plant she was sitting near but i decided to go with the whole kinda forrest look on her side... I love how she's just looking up in the picture into the sky so who better to put in the sky than her "immortal." I honestly had a hard time finding a pic of Josh i could work with that would compliment this image so i just decided on that one---one of his very few serious kinda shots. In the center is a Caspar David Friedrich painting Cloister Cemetery in the Snow which unfortunately was destroyed in Germany in 1945, but i just love the whole peaceful yet kinda gothic look it had so long story short, I combined everything together and I got this:

It's still one of my favs to date

Very nice. Question, tho.. if you couldn't find a scan of a faded image, why not just faded it as a layer in photoshop itself, making your own faded image?

lol i meant that i couldnt find a better scan of that particular image that i had faded in photoshop

edit: here's an image of something new i made last night... yeah i know, it's similar to my old sig but what can i say? i'm just in that kinda mood right now and it reflects in the stuff i create... so as soon as i get my sig privledges back, i'm putting it in

btw does anyone have a good scan of the image in the far right of the sig? if you do please pm me

hmmmm here's one i did for a friend of mine who uses david beckham as his pic base---his character is going through some drug addiction crisis or something so yeah

Those are simply amazing. I love how you do those, with the painting in the background, and the fade. I like how you don't stick to one motif to. All I can say, is when I get a computer, you are going to be the first person I ask to make a wallpaper.

wooooohoooo! thanks for the compliment... yeah i've been told that my work is pretty subtle... i'm a fan of good blends and such

i REALLY like your work... the faded images just make the picture. It's like rain falling and VERY mellow. I like mellow.

thanks for the compliment christina! i like the mellow look too LOL it's calming in a sense

btw here's a new one up... it's from one of my earlier works, younger than anything in this post right now... i used a black and white image of mandy moore (my friend jenn's pic base for her character) for this one and colored in her eyes and the dress
