Should Baggy Pants Be Banned?

I am watching Dr Phil and the episode is about 12 US States that have banned baggy pants, that is, pants worn below the waist. (you know the kind) People can be fined or even go to jail for wearing baggy pants, because apparently it's 'overexposure' or something like that.

There has been a little talk about banning them here, although nothing has been done. Supposedly the elderly get scared of guys with baggy pants because they see them as someone who is going to mug them. (I won't say what I really think expect they should get over it)

So, what are your thoughts? Are baggy pants offensive? On the show, some people said they were offensive to women to see mens boxer shorts or Calvins. I am a woman and I am not offended in the slightest.
What do you think about this? Should they be banned?

I, personally, am not offended by baggy pants. I feel like its going to the extreme to fine or jail people for wearing baggy pants...because cops and lawyers should spend their time putting away rapists and murderers rather than kids with baggy pants.

Mostly when I see them, I want to pants them. If I happen to know the person, I will.

i personally think it is a big beat up over nothing. aren't there more important things in life that needs fighting for then the right to wear baggy pants or the right to have baggy pants baned?

I agree with Shannon......
Its just a style, and it shouldn't be a crime.
They are doing the exact same thing here as well, in Canada.
There are alot of other things they can worry about, other then the
way a person dresses.
To get jail time for that, you know how foolish that really is, when there
are to many other crimes being commited.
They aren't hurting anyone, just by wearing their pants like that.
I just think the entire thing is just bullshit in my very own opinion.

Not speaking of actual baggy pants, but in how they are worn, the style really disgusts me.

Seeing this walk down the street...

...makes me think he dropped a major load into his pants before he could make it to the nearest bathroom.

That said, it is my personal opinion that the wearers of this style are only causing personal humiliation to themselves

, but it's not something that should be labeled as a crime.

i agree its an awful look but i one i rarely see in australia or atleast where i live.
but personally the person is making a bigger arse out of themselves then anybody could if they think they are cool let them get on with their deluded thinking

I see them all the time, and it looks kinda stupid, but hey, if they like it, then who am I to object?
Also the show had some people saying it was a race issue and that only black people wear their pants like that, which I know is not true at all, heaps of white kids have their pants like this too so it has nothing to do with race. I think it's just a fashion statement just a little warped though lol
