So Close

Evanescence EP, track 5
written by: W. Boyd, B. Moody, and M. Outlaw

Seldom referred to as The Last Day. Joint effort written by Will Boyd, Matt Outlaw and Ben Moody. Track #5 on the Evanescence EP. Matt Outlaw performed on the drums for this song.

--
So Close

I've spent so much time throwing rocks at your window
That I never even knocked on the front door

Ooh...
Ooh...
Ooh...

I walk by statues never even made one chip
But if I could leave a mark on the monument of the heart
I just might lay myself down for a little more than I had the last day
The last day
The last day
Oooh..

Wait a time to spare these lies we tell ourselves
These days have come and gone
But this time is sweeter than honey

Lyrics by: B. Moody, W. Boyd, M. Outlaw

Hydranokaori can only hope to improve
This song makes me picture amy walking through a park in Little Rock and sitting on statues. I really like this song. It's sweet.

I liked of its theory.
It really is sweet.
For me is romantic song, with a strong mensage.
Like "For all that I fought, I want can let my name in the music world. Only thus I can rest in peace".
Taking this romantic side, a seemed message.
I think that I'm crazy.

I just love this song, especially this part:

Quote:

I just might lay myself down for a little more than I had the last day
Definitely one of my favourites. It usually gives me the chills.

moonlightinplatinum will become famous soon enough
This is such an underrated song! It sounds so otherworldly. I LOVe the very last part when Amy sings, 'but this time is sweeter than honey,'.

That part is awesome..
I must say, I love when she sings "The last day" the one time when she sings three or four different notes on "day."

In my opinion, this is their best older song. I really like how they can make this a heavy song but also a sweet song at the same time. It's coool.

i really like this song. begin slow and then starts so quickly.
when Amy sings words "the last day" i fell much emotion. and i imagine big ruins of old castle, where the band paying, and Amy walk round or sits on wall and sings. that's beautiful song, i like this rythm

^Favorite part of the song.

For some reason, I keep listening to this song lately.

I think its really underrated compared to all their other older stuff. It really is an amazing song. I love how they are able to change from soft to heavy. Amy's voice sounds amazing in this song.
