The biggest thing i have found is that you have to be able to relate, sharing an opinion with someone is the way to go i found, but dont be disheartend there are some beautifull ppl out there, just need a chance to find them or allow them to discover you :P

Dont worry if no one replies to your thread, not many did to mine, and I'm now a senior member

. But I do try to welcome newbies as much as I can so they dont end up feeling like no one cares.

If you're like me, when you first join a forum, you're real shy. I didnt really talk to many people, so I just posted things in the Ev section of the board, but later I was more social, obviously lol. That, and at the time I had a VERY slow computer, like snail slow, so when I even quick posted, it would take about 3 minutes for the page to change, luckily I got a new computer though. But when I post in people's intro threads, I try to be nice and seem approachable, that way people dont end up feeling like I did. I think some of my first friends were Sparky, Torey, Lily, Rory, and a few others lol.

My advice to new members though is to try to talk to people, because theres really not that big of a reason to be shy. The people here are real nice once you try to talk to them. And dont worry, we really dont bite

im used to my other discussion forum that im on, where you're allowed to say basically anything or make any thread that you want and talk about whatever.
so now im addicted, i dont post all the time but i do sign in and read around hence the title "lurker" under my name

haha I wasn't being serious when I posted that (no, I wasn't going to cry in a dark corner after all

). But thanks for being nice and sweet. Although I don't post much (only when I feel I have something interesting to say), I can say I'm less shy now.

annoying. being a n00b is like being in china everything you do is monitored and you appear to not be able to post much, ive posted about 6 times today and they have all been sent for moderating

Its Terrible!

I believe I'm a respectable and mature person but I just can't wait to get out of the Mod Queue! I've been around for ages and last time I was driven away by the long wait for my posts to show up.

I posted earlier today and I still haven't seen those!

How exactly do the mods manage to moderate posts? It just seems to be a mission.
