..... Umm, yeah. I'm Jessica, known to teh EvBoard as Megami, formerly known as XValospoisongrlX. I've been here since November of 2003, and sometimes I still feel like a n00b myself. When I first started here, I felt really intimidated and out of place, seeing all these people with hundreds and thousands of posts, and I wanted to be just like that. My first thread was awful, I don't even remember totally what it was about, I just got totally flamed for it, why? because I DID NOT USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!! I realize that now, and I never start a thread without consulting the trusty search. If n00bs need to know anything when they first come here, it's that on the EvBoard, the search button is your bestest friend.

The only few things I'd tell a n00b to remember is to always use the search; don't make useless and idiotic threads; don't, for the love of God, ever, EVER use Aim-speak; and if you have any questions about anything and you think they could be easily answered, don't start a thread... ask a mod, or PM someone.

this thread is a good idea.
I started my n00biness a few months ago, and it was scary. I thought that the mods were out to get me, but then I realized that they are trying(and succeeding) to make this board really great and spam/idiot free.
good luck to all newbies, though the mods may drive you to tears, eventually you'll get over it.

So far it's great being a newbie and this thread's been really helpful!

I'm kinda getting used to these boards!.....And don't worry, I wont use AIMspeak...it gets on my nerves too! This forum's a lot bigger than any other forums I've joined before but that's cool! Thanks for all the advice everyone and thanks to everyone who's made me feel welcome!

Well... I am not new to the boards but I no longer have the internet at home so I can only really check the site when I'm visitin my big sis (MaPetite), and so the gaps between times that I am able to come and check the EvBoards out its like bein a n00b all over again... I never know what threads to jump into a discussion on because I know I probably won't be able to check replies and graaagh!!... it's so frustrating.... I wish I still had the net... bleh.... anyways yeah that about all I have to say about that...

I'm not really a nOOb but sometimes i feel like one. for example, what's with all the "TEH" instead of "the"? LOL and it took me awhile to figure out what the heck <3 meant. lol i suppose i'm a slow learner. but seriously evboard is amazing. the mods are awesome and are always there to "lend a helping hand". plus it's cool to actually meet people at Ev's concerts from the evboard. it's such a cool experience. The search button is your friend. i found that out the hard way, and am still a nOOb at searching. lol but honestly, this is the best message board i have ever been on! keep up the good work guys!
