Be patient kiddies it does get easier with time. As you can see I have been around here a long ass time yet still havent got a huge post count.

Just take a breath and realize there are people who always are willing to help with your questions. And there are the sarcastic ones like me who will help and/or make a remark.

If you do get stuck though just come in the irc channel and someone will be happy to help.

I, for one, can't understand why people tend to spell with numbers. I prefer spelling my words with letters, thank you very much.

My name is Alex, but I like going by Himiko because it's purdyfuller. I joined around December 2003, which was when I was going through my Linkin Park obsession phase. The people here are really cool if you're on their good side. If not, RUN! Or walk out casually. Or try to make peace. My advice is what I just mentioned, as well as:

Absolutely NO netspeak. Not only is it misunderstandable, but it's annoying.
Don't post about stuff no one cares about. It'll get closed eventually.
Lurk around a bit until you get the hang of things.
Of course, that dosen't mean spend your whole time as a member lurking. Mingle. It's a good way to get to know people and make new friends.

i've been here for an hour now, and i like what i see. people have been very friendly, but on the other hand i don't feel like a noob because everybody seems to know my sister and i know a few of them because of what my sister told me and from the pics i have seen. i think i'll have a good time around here

Hey, my name is Jen, i'm 23, live in NY and been an Ev fan for wow hmm, since i heard whisper2002 and my immortal and I was floored, i absolutlely loved the sound and especially loved the voice (i'm a big fan of mariah and women in general that can sing powerful and meaningful ballads) I'll admit when i heard the songs, i went on a kazaa tear and tried to d/l anything i could find that was associated with the name.
I guess you can call me a noob in posts only cause i've "lurked" around for 1+ years now, and actually had to reregister a few times cause i remember the board being down/site went down and vaguely remember the mods saying that it will only be the forum from now on (which i was heartbroken, cause i enjoyed the site and the changes) and that exodusevanescence was no more, but as you can tell by my number lol i'm not much on the posting.
I found this site in its form before the forum as exodusevanescence, and initially i was googling to find lyrics and this site came up i loved it instantly cause it had so much information from lyrics to discography to update news and magazine articles and appearances and i just never came across a site so informative on a low key band at the time.
This board had always answered all my questions to the "T" that i felt i didn't need to post, cause i'm always so busy that i only get a few moments at a time to just look around and skim thru all the reading and what others have posted.
I'm usually here for a few minutes a day daily before i go to work just to get updated news cause i know this site always has it, and thats whats so great about it besides the people working hard to keep the board fresh.
Anyways, just thought i would say hi and hopefully soon i'll get a pocket of time here and there to contribute to discussions.

I love this forum and find it not hard at all. Just follow the rules, read a lot, get informed and use the search button first!

This site is great for getting information, meeting fellow Evanescence fans and making friends.
