For some reason, I can't get the Java chat to load for me right now, but my first suspicion is that you're not getting auto-joined to the #evboard channel.

After you see you have connected, try typing this in:
/join #evboard

If that still doesn't get you chatting, post again.

They are having trouble (to say the least), and I believe DNS is one of the problems at the time. That's what is causing Oscar's trouble anyway.

If you're going to do that then you might as well just

/server 72.20.17.182 6667

Relic is up (well at least some of the boxes are) the thing that is down is DNS resolution.
