My difficulty is slightly different from b00ble's. The IRC thinks I'm a bot. And I KNOW I'VE LOGGED OFF COMPLETELY EVERY TIME I LEAVE. Why won't it let me back in?

It's pure speculation, but you could have been k-lined, which means that your user@host or host have been banned from using relic. This could result from you doing something dumb on the server or channel, or it could be as wide as someone else at your ISP doing something dumb on relic. Try connecting with a different user name. If that works, then it was just you. If it doesn't, try connecting with a different ISP if you can.

You can ask an ircop if they can check the k-line list for your user@host or host. If it's there, you can ask them to remove it if it was something you did. If it wasn't major they will probably do it. If it wasn't your fault, and they've banned the whole ISP you'll just be out of luck more than likely. You'll either need a new ISP or just have to quit using IRC.

Good luck with getting this resolved.

How do I speak with an ircop? I tried e-mailing kline@relic.net (the e-mail provided on the error messages after a few times), but that e-mail got returned for 'user not found'.

I think they've upped their spam-bot protection recently, and that is what's causing it. You have to make sure you get into the channel VERY quickly after connecting. That means you should identify with NickServ AFTER you join the channel or otherwise have your client identify automatically.

You're not kidding.
I tried again at lunch today. After 1 second (not even enough time to type "/join #evboard" and hit enter), it banned me again. I haven't heard back from the request sent to the place Diamon provided.

Miles is still with the banned. Grrr.
