How do you get that texture? Like, is it a special affect or is it really your camera that gives off those colors? Am I making sense? lol

There's no texture, the first shot is a view from my window. The second is a shot of the rain puddling on a chair. Now, I did alter the colors slightly to make the picture look a little more intense, but I didn't use a texture. Even though the model of my camera is cheap and old, it can make some cool stuff sometime.

And Freddy, your pictures are fine.

Lol I didnt mean texture. I notice they hve an 'old fashion' sense to it. I love the color patterns you use.

Ohh, well in Gimp, I do this technique meant to mimic a special type of film photography. It's called Cross-Processing, it gives the picture sort of a more colorful tint that makes the shot look more retro.

UPDATE

The shot isn't exactly high quality, and the idea isn't too original, but whatever. I still had fun with it.

It's totally cool though. I can see people standing in front of it, speaking about the way the picture is depicting someone photographing another person or object and then spreading that into infinity, signifying the way society starts a trend, (a way of life, a fad) and the rest of society watching and conforming.

Or some shit like that, you know?

Huh, that's pretty deep thinking there. My original idea was to have a sheet over my head to make it look like the old way of taking photos (like, wayyyy back in the early 1900s), then the second part of the picture would show me holding a Polaroid photograph, showing the camera.

But then, several things occured to me. 1) Although the Canon in the pictures IS a film camera, there's no way I could fool anybody into thinking that looks like an old 1900's camera. 2) My camera isn't an instant like a Polaroid, the picture doesn't come out immediately after capturing the shot.

So, the whole "You're only an amateur, minimalistic photographer. That wouldn't work" thing hit me again and I settled for this instead.

Ya I totally saw it the way Dante was referring to it as. And now when I look at it the way Em portrayed it. I kinda see it that way... But not as much. But I also saw it as a picture within a picture, if that makes sense.

And also, do you know if any other programs have 'cross-processing'? I love it. I love the way you do that.

Try Phixr or Picnik. Those are pretty ghetto internet programs, but they're effective nonetheless.

New Picture: Holding the Sky

New sunglasses :3

Self-Portrait

...and a faux Polaroid shot!

Hun, your style reminds me of the 60's-70's feel. You should sell your work. I like it, make like a logo or something for the bottom of your pictures to mark they're yours so no one can copy them and sell them!

That's the point!

I want it to look very vintage with a hippy-like atmosphere. I highly doubt anybody would want to sell them, to be fully honest.
