It's basically the same thing we hear all the time. "We're doing great, we love touring. All the new players are great and we're glad we changed because we werent in a happy place--" blah blah blah.

I think I'ma give up on reading interviews now. They're mostly the same anyways.

I know. "The old members sucked", "my new stuff is sooooo good"... Blah blah.
Personally, if there is a new album out, I doubt there will be many people that interested. A four year-five year gap for another mediocre album?? I think she's run out of stuff to write anyways. The Ben thing has got old and no-one wants to hear her whinging about an old relationship anymore... what's left??

And about the Korn fans thing... I know tonnes of Korn fans and have been to Korn concerts with them.. the reputation is so built-up. Amy's just making excuses for her inability to put on a passable show.

At least she's honest about it. It DID suck.

I treasure TOD it is one of the best albums ive ever heard and i will definetly buy the next album the minute it comes out, also about there been no fans left, every single album brings a new group of fans and hopefully next time round they will turf out the haters.

i am loving this new and improved evanescence.

I don't fear Korn fans. I will fry them up along with their favorite band with chilli pepper and eat them every morning for breakfast. Muahahaha!!!*evil laugh*
Well, i don't care much about how good Troy and Will is because we won't eventually hear them along with Evanescence when they've left.
This is mrzeus21221, signing out...

That's exactly what I think when she says that. No wonder John and Rocky weren't happy, they're not a 'backup band'.

Well it's damn hard when they don't want to write suitable lyrics for evanescence, that's what amy has said. At least amy tried hard to callaborate because she wrote most of the songs with terry not to mention rang John up to ask him if he has any lyrics for the album and he said yes, so amy collaborated with john and added on to the lyrics and there you have ALL THAT I'M LIVING FOR.

Now what was that about no callaboration.

What John and Rocky wrote COULD have become Evanescence and the songs that they did help write show that. Diversity is good! It means that the songs actually sound different from each other as opposed to only being fully distinguishable to those who listen to TOD a lot. The songs just morph into one giant monster song in my mind.

The story I remember about ATILF is that Amy heard the guitar for it and wanted to use it. It's just slightly different to actually asking for his input. But who knows the real story?

Yeah according to John he never actually wrote it for Ev, it was something he had lying around and Amy liked it and wanted to use it.

ATILF IMO is definately one of the standout tracks on TOD

I don't think John writes lyrics, I know Phil does most of them for Machina so I doubt (but this is just my speculation) that lyric writing would have been the issue. I imagine it would have been about the music and I find it hard to believe that neither John or Rocky's music, both of whom have been playing with Ev for four years and have been working with them for many more and both of whom had songs on Fallen, couldn't be incorporated into TOD.

Ooh, I do!

THE REAL STORY:

Quote:
MusicPix: You’re credited on “Fallen” for “Taking Over Me” and contributed “All That I’m Living For” on “The Open Door.” How does it work? Do you simply bring in lyrics and some tracks for ideas or are the songs fully baked?

John: I had a lot of material that went into a big pot with a lot of material. Every band had the entire life to write their first record but you’ve only got a couple years to write the next one. So there was a lot of material that went into “Fallen” and I contributed a lot to it even though I didn’t get credit on it, but I pitched in. When Ben was in the band, people would bring in the music or full songs and we’d dissect it….a kind of a lonely way of doing it…with people doing individual things and then we’d throw it together in the computer and see what happens. With this one, (The Open Door) we collaborated at Amy’s house for a bit and wrote a lot of things there. ‘All That I’m Living For,’ I wrote that at my house. I didn’t write it for Evanescence. I just wrote it for me. But she called me up and asked if I had any more stuff and I said I’ve got a piece of music that I really like. I don’t know if you’re going to like it but we’ll see… So I over-nighted it to her and within a couple of hours, she had already written the chorus. It didn’t have a bridge at that point and then I went out to LA to the studio. I had actually written the bridge before I went out there, so everything was pretty much done before I got to the studio.
source

God, we're really grasping at straws now aren't we?

Well it's hard to find what to believe in between this mess, so i decide not to trust anything at all, not what John said, not even what Amy said. I will just sit back, relax and enjoy TOD in my iPod. It's simple, no madness about the drama (which has long gone ago), no worrying about Korn fans will ever crack me up, ah.... what a life...
This is mrzeus21221, zzzzzzzzz...
