charly is on a distinguished road
Staind's a good band....but I have to be honest and say that I like the old stuff better than the new, spite of the pourly singing of Aaron in the early days of the band, because I feel their lost...how can i put it....may be honesty would fit better with what i feel about the newest stuff.....I'm waiting to hear new songs to see what direction they take......

Excerpt of a story from FMQB.com

Quote:
Staind have spent their summer getting ready to release their new album, Chapter V, by hitting the road with 3 Doors Down and Breaking Benjamin. However, the Massachusetts band has made sure to find time to spend with their fans. Guitarist Mike Mushok describes Staind's "backstage burn" sessions to MTV.com. "Through local radio stations, 20 people can come backstage and we play four acoustic songs for them," he said. "Then these fans can leave the venue with a CD of that performance. We've been trying to mix it up and not play the same songs so there's different CDs out there with different stuff on them."

Staind has also been making appearances at Best Buy stores around the country, holding Chapter V listening parties and meeting more fans. Mushok also said that the band has been giving concertgoers a preview of the new album, performing just a few new songs on their tour. "The live setting's really not the best place to hear a song sometimes," he said to MTV.com. "Even for me, to hear a band do a song live, the first time, it's tough to gauge. It's just a hard setting sometimes for people to hear things for the first time."

Fans who preorder Chapter V on iTunes will also receive a bonus song, a demo version of their early single "Mudshovel."
I meant to post this here....this is what happens when you have 2 and a half hours of sleep.

just a guess, but I think that "demo" of Mudshovel is just the same version from Tormented, because they also said it was the track that got them signed originally, and Tormented was out at that time.
I could be wrong of course.

Many rock radio stations, including K-Rock here, have been playing "The Beetlejuice Song"...is this a bonus track on Chapter V?

Not that I've come across, but I'll let you know if I do.
EDIT: Apparently they played this song when they appeared on Howard Stern. I'm sure they're just playing that rerecorded on the radio.
