Summer of 2005. Hot or Not?

This thread is addressed generally to people in the Northern Hemisphere (though southern hemisphere people are certainly welcome to comment on their last summer. )

How is your summer this year? Hot or not?

My summer so far has been H-O-T! Memphis Int'l Airport has hit 97 F (36C) three times already this year, as compared to 97 being reached only once in 2004. My community reached 90's nearly 30 days so far, and it's only a week into the official summer season.

We've had no rain. Our grass is dying. West Tennessee / Eastern Arkansas is turning into a dustbowl, because we've only had 2 inches of rain in the past two months, & no relief is in sight.

Pretty damn warm over near Philly. Humidity's been very high, and it's made it feel like 100F at points. But, it's been thunderstorming at night, even though that's not helping.

Luxembourg-Europe: Really hot. We now had 33-34° C for about three weeks. Today is the first day it's raining. We don't usually have such temperatures here, especially for such a long time.

Usually we have pretty hot summers, 104 and such, but lately the actual temp has been in the 70's & 80's, but the humidity has been EFFING crazy. It's so disgusting.

It's been 80° F-110° F where I live. And on the days that it's not really really hot, it's freezing.

It's been hot in Colorado too. 90+ for the last couple of weeks. At least it cools down here at night, so we get some relief. My yard is getting browner all the time!

Oh, yeah - and this is the time when my car AC decides to break down!

It is SO hot out here. We have had temps. in the 90s for the past few weeks. We only hit the 90's about twice last year, and that was the end of august. Its really humid too, which doesn't help. It sometimes literally feels like you're walking into a sauna outside. eww.

It rain yesterday. That helped for a little while, then it got all hot and humid again.

Ohio weather sucks.

Same here, it's been lovely and warm here for the past week, it even made front page of the national newspaper, that's how rare we get good weather. But it's raining and there's a storm brewing now, it looks like God poured a million litre bottle of water over Ireland.
