TARJA is not a composer,is a good singer but like you said, she needs something more than a soprano or mezzo soprano style,she needs to show that is not only "the face of Nightwish",or the ex- singer,but just time.

I loved Tarja in Nightwish from the moment I heard her on "Angels Fall First" waaaay back in the beginning...and I still love her today. Her solo album is really quite incredible vocally, and even the lyrics are impressive. Sure, she has a ways to go before she becomes completely "great" at writing her own songs, but that's what song writers are for, is it not? I mean, she never wrote anything for Nightwish, that was all Tuomas (and the other guys musically) but her voice was still incredible. I don't think she's going to disappear anytime soon...someone who has that much talent will continue to find a way to share their gift with the world no matter what.

How many songs did she actualy write on MWS? I can think of only one I think, the others were written by others...

She co-compose "some" songs :Oasis, ciaran's well,but not completely because the songs have already written by a few songwriters more.And she is in the end of the order of who have the most "power" to say the song is not mine: Oasis(written by.......,.......,......, ......., Turunen....)And in music the order,Yes it means a lot !!!!

The only song written exclusively by Tarja is Oasis - the others she had assistance from other writers.

^ I looked in the booklet and checked which songs she wrote.

I have a hard time following the songs of the album. There are 18 songs and the album goes for only 60 minutes so there are a few really short songs - like that 30 seconds before IWA starts - thats one song. They are like 'interludes' or something.

Has anyone heard this song?

Martin Kescini Feat Tarja Turunen - Leaving You For Me

I came across it on YouTube and it's just...well, hot? The video isn't perfect though - it messes up at 1.04 right on Tarja's mouth, lol.
