Tarja Turunen
Tarja Turunen has started a solo career her first single was called "Yhden Enkelin Unelma" which did very well in Finland. It scored at #1 for 4 weeks.
Her website is: http://www.tarjaturunen.com She also has released her second single called "Leaving you for me" with a collaboration with a German singer named Martin Kesici. (shouldn't this really just go in the Nightwish thread?)
Tarja's solo stuff is cool, though I wish I could understand what she sings  It may just be me, but I think her singing is better on her solo stuff (she sounds smoother and uses her full range more often) then with Nightwish. But that could just be me hearing things. |

nah i think this deserves a thread of its own. tarjas stuff is a bit different to nightwish. i like nightwish better though. i bought her christmas singles yesterday. i may aswell since i cant tell a word shes saying ^_^

wow i listen to nightwish a lot and i love tarja's voice but why did she start a solo career? just wondering. i love nightwish so im going to have to check out her new stuff. thanks for the information.

I had heard about her solo project, but I never actually heard any of the music. Leaving You for Me is pretty good! Wish I could hear her single (the one in Finnish that I will never be able to spell) without having the buy the CD, though. Shipping and handling's going to be horrible, it always is.
