I am sorry to all Nightwish fans, but I think that girl's voice just sucks! I find it so annoying when she starts singing in her Opera voice

Anyone else agree?

I disagree and I'm not even a fan of old Nightwish. However, Tarja is a very talented woman. I think she pulled off some fantastic vocals on songs like Nemo, Ghost Love Score, and a few others. Her vocals arent light and airy like Sharons, but she definitely has an operatic rock voice that really stands out when you listen to her. I think with the right songs, she could definitely become a very popular singer in the US because of how unusual her voice sounds. (Although, I'm talking about metal fans. Mainstream fans might not appreciate her as much.)

Her last name is Turunen.

I've never found Tarja's voice/tone to be pleasant in it's own right, but she's honed it so well it doesn't matter. That woman can sing baby.

I also like the contrast of such a harsh voice against such beautiful melodies and lyrics but thats just me.
