The IFPI (The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) has released a statistics yearbook on the global music market.

They released a top 50 list for the year, but here are your top 10 in sales order.

1. Norah Jones-Come Away With Me
2. 50 Cent-Get Rich or Die Trying
3. Linkin Park-Meteora
4. Dido-Life for Rent
5. Beyonce Knowles-Dangerously in Love
6. Coldplay-A Rush of Blood to the Head
7. Evanescence-Fallen
8. Britney Spears-In the Zone
9. Avril Lavigne-Let Go
10. Celine Dion-One Heart

Needless to say, an amazing accomplishment.

that is truly amazing!! Way to go Evanescence.. but was there ever a doubt in our minds that they could make #7.. I think not

I'd like to add that in this day in age, it's amazing that they've sold over 12 million albums.

Also according to the IFPI, sales of recorded music went down 7.6%. That's a huge number.
