Okay...did our book club die?

That's very sad. I just finished DaVinci Code, and am reading the Perks of Being a Wallflower right now. I think we should ressurect the book club and pick a book danget

But seriously, am I the only one who liked this idea?

it hasn't died... or while there are still people passionate about books and broadening their reading range the book club won't die.

so being as no-one has made a choice i am chosing deja dead- kathy reichs
why it is becuase she is a good author and the books are good and i have never read the first one.

so try and get your book in a weeks time may the 29th and we will read and discuss a couple of chapters at a time.

so go get your book

Is it a fairly well-known book though? 'Cos I live in Idiot-ville, I mean we only have one bookstore in the whole damn town and the library's not that great...

It is i think

i will have to reserve a copy as my library is small. in that case try and have it by june sunday the 4th.
after that the chapter disscussion times will be organised

looking forward to reading the book as i haven't read it but i am reading another of hers later in the series now.

I'm reading a book by Richard North Patterson, called 'To Protect And Defend'. It's about a 15 year old girl who takes her parents to court for the right to about her hydrocephalic fetus.

WOW i have to say im surprised this old thread still exists. is anyone interested in the book club being re-instated
pm me so i can have an idea of who is interested. im hoping someone is.

I would love to be more involved but am not sure I'd be able to get the books that are chosen for us to read.

im glad your interested and last time it was fairly obtainable books. if there is more interest or even if there isnt and its just the 2 of us ive learnt from last time that pre-planning is important. so books to be read would be decided upon a few ahead if that makes sense?
