I think my favorite songs have to be Runaway and I Never Loved You Anyway, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lough Erin Shore, cause its freaking gorgeous and yes...thats my name too. This band also makes me very pround to have at least some irish hertiage. I really love the two new songs I've heard so far, Angel and Summer Sunshine hopefully this weekend i'm going to be getting the new cd.

I can't even pick a favourite song!! I'm loving Runaway at the moment, and Dreams... and So Young!

This album got me through some low times at uni, 'cause it's so happy it cheers me up loads!!

One year after their last studio album, The Corrs are returning full circle with their latest album Home, to be released by Atlantic Records on September 26th.

As the title suggests, The Corrs are back to fond beginnings, defining a journey that began 15 years ago. It is a record that is held close to the bands’ hearts, compiled through a songbook of the late Jean Corr, and brought to life by the bands’ urge to bring new interpretations to traditional Irish songs.

It was Caroline Corr who first suggested a return to traditional form, since “everywhere we go in the world we are asked to do more Irish music.” Featuring the BBC Radio 2 Concert Orchestra and working with orchestral arranger Fiachra Trench and producer Mitchell Froom, who has worked with The Corrs on three previous albums, the band set out to create an eclectic mixture of songs and instrumental airs.

Recorded over six months, the making of the album became a journey in uniting both old and new. Traditional Irish songs were carefully chosen, and set to new arrangements, whilst remaining true and faithful to the core emotion of the originals. The mixture of traditional and contemporary, is one that is truly celebrated throughout Home. Whereas the predominately Irish songs are interpreted in a contemporary way, other songs such as ‘Heart Like A Wheel’, originally written by Anna McGarrigle, remain strongly Irish in sound and spirit. This spirit shines through in tracks such as ‘Buachaill On Eirne’ which is one of two tracks sung in Gaelic; a true testament to the integrity of this album, and its desire to bring together Ireland’s past, present and future.

The full tracklisting is as follows: My Lagan Love / Spancill Hill / Peggy Gordon / Black Is The Colour / Heart Like A Wheel / Buachaill On Eirne / Old Hag / Moorlough Shore / Old Town / Dimming Of The Day / Brid Og Ni Mhaille / Haste To The Wedding / Return To Fingall
I can not freaking wait. I love all the instrumentals and the traditional Irish stuff they do, so this is going to be AWESOME. I'm going to go out and get it right when it comes out.

As for favorites as of recent, I've been loving Would You Be Happier (From Live in Dublin) and Dreams a ton.

The Corrs are my favourite band, next to Ev, of course.

I have almost all their albums....

Forgiven, No Forgotten...
Talk On Corners...
Talk On Corners Special Edition...
In Blue...
Unplugged...Best Of...
Borrowed Heaven...

As well as:

Live At Royal Albert Hall...
Live In Dublin...
Best Of-The Videos...

Can't wait until new album Home hits stores, I love their Irish instrumentals, my favourite being Silver Strand, from the album 'Borrowed Heaven'

My favourite video clip is 'The Right Time' because the girls look like they are having so much fun, clapping and dancing and such...

The gaelic song "Buachaill on Eirne" from the album Home sounds great. I like the whole concept of them going back to their Irish roots.

Heh. Home rocks. A friend of mine in Scotland uploaded the album for me yesterday, but I had to promise to buy it when it gets here, cos it's going to take forever. But it's totally awesome. Mmmm, Andrea Corr singing in Gaelic. Home is totally awesome; it was a great idea for them to get in touch with their Irishness.
