Browsing LOTR stuff on youtube, found My Immortal. Didn't watch the video for a long time.
A couple years later found it again browsing Star Wars stuff and I remembered it was a good song. Found the other Fallen singles through Star Wars video and eventually bought Fallen, though I'd only heard at that point the singles. I couldn't stand the sound of Going Under (totally wasn't a metal head back then, but now it's my favourite Fallen track :P), Bring Me to Life was okay, and I really loved the message behind Everybody's Fool. I listened to the CD several times and eventually got into it, realized how much I related to all the songs, how they described my life. I listened to the other songs on youtube and totally got hooked! CMWYS was a very accurate description of a hearbreaking break up I'd gone through earlier that same year, and a lot of TOD songs were just very healing for me. Evanescence totally changed me.

For me, it was Bring Me To Life. I saw the video on MTV and instantly fell in love with their music.

Bring Me To Life, pretty obvious, but sadly not in 2003. It was seven years after that when I first heard the song. I believe I first heard it at my friend's house when we were playing SingStar, and I remember being completely mind blown. I made a mental note to look up the band when I got home, but being the forgetful person I am, lol, I forgot. A few weeks later, at the Fright Fest at Six Flags Great Adventure, I heard it AGAIN. I looked up Ev the moment I got home and fell in love immediately. I've been obsessed ever since. I know, it's not a long time, but I doubt this infatuation will go away any time soon.

^Same here, got to know BMTL because of Singstar. I liked the song and put it on my iPod, then listened to other songs e.g. Lithium but didn't like them very much (still can't believe that...).
I really got into them when a friend of mine showed my My Immortal few years ago. This friend today doesn't like Ev and sometimes kinda insultes them just because they're not her style....Well, that's it...

Wake Me Up Inside was the very first Ev song I've ever heard. The first time I heard it was when I was searching through the yahoo music site, which they had all kinds of music selections and somehow I stumbled upon the music video and I instantly fell in love with the song. I remember actually being infatuated with Paul McCoy at the time and thinking how cute of him trying to save Amy from falling, but then he fails and it was so like that scene from Titanic where Rose let's go a Jack (which was so dramatic) uff But after listening to this song so many times It didn't really make me want to search up the band or look up their albums and stuff. That's until I heard CMWYS, heh.. I remember hearing it on the radio for the very first time. I thought that song was so badass and the melody is gorgeous and haunting. Then I searched up The Open Door, fell in love with it and became a big fan after that.

Bring Me To Life in late 2003. I was really into Jennifer Lopez back then (I mean, really hot woman she is ). I saw a woman walking out of her window and I was put off by some special effect where she looked like she was gonna jump out of it but only landed on that platform. So I turned it off Then I heard MI a zillion times, or I should say, I saw that same lady lying on a car or a roof, and again I switched canal.
Fact that they were all over the place didn't help me liking them.

But then they were playing BMTL (and later on MI) in class, and for the first time, I couldn't switch it off, and could not but hear the songs in their entirety and whaaaam! I fell in love with Amy's voice. And when I saw EF's video I fell in love with Amy all the way. (Who cares about JLo when there's Amy?) I bought Fallen and then I fell in love with Ev, which I'm still am. What a lovestory!

My sister had just bought Fallen, she only liked My Immortal, and once, when I was all alone, I went into her room and accidentaly found it and put it in the CD player and went straight to song that which name sounded the most interesting to me: Imaginary. That was my firt EvSong. For the remainder of the year everytime I was alone, I would sneak into her bedroom and listen to the whole album by myself, I did that throughout 2004 too. I didn't know if I was allowed to listen to them, of course I don't care now, but I was ten back then and my sister was very protective of her stuff.
