I think I recognize you from the Cycling Colours forum...you are Mariska?? I visit over there every day (same name), but don't post too often.Yes, it's nice there are some Gathering fans here....but sadly not enough You see how The Gathering thead here pales in comparison with the HUGE number of posts in the Nightwish & Lacuna Coil threads for example.Anyway, I REALLY envy you being able to see TG often as you are in The Netherlands. I guess I'm probably obsessed with them as well. Oh well, I don't worry about it...I just think they are currently the best band in the world. I guess you will be at some of the October NL shows? I'm very seriously thinking of flying over to the Netherlands to see a short string of shows (2 or 3). If that doesn't work out, I will try for a few German shows in December. I need to get my passport this week and have just started looking into travel arrangements. Have any of the tickets gone on sale yet? BTW...very nice Gathering site you have Nefertem. Lots of excellent photos and well updated for sure . |

Yes I'm Mariska from the TG forum
You can also become a member of my site and post in my forum...that would be awesome. Thank you, that you like my site...I'm still working on it....I want to put all TG videos on it..because allot of people never saw a video of them. And want to put some live numbers and mp3 's of them...still got allot to do!!! Wow how cool that would like to come to The Netherlands to see shows of them...Yes I'm going to allot of show in October...especially in Eindhoven, Oss, The Hague and Utrecht...I HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!! That would be nice I read that you also talk to anneke....She is a sweet girl isn't she...allot charisma huh On my site there is an interview that I held with Hans...that was so cool to do that with him!!! He is such a nice and funny guy Did you read it!?!? All members are very nice Here is my interview with Hans Interview At the end of this year there will come a new DVD of The gathering...with a full concert, new songs and allot of goodies..I CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE THAT IN MY HANDS!!! And it is GREAT that Anneke is pregnant on the Dutch topic we already guessed it whahahaha!!! I saw her last week in Nijmegen (her home city) and she looked a bit pale, she waved at me I know I'm obsessed...Can't help it I saw that someone asked in here about the private life of Anneke...well she has 1 brother, she was married 2 years ago with her husband Rob, he was the drummer of a dutch metal band called Celestial season (broke up a few years ago). Maybe wanna know here education that she done, she did argarian and bakery school She was born 8th March 1973 in St. Michielsgestel. And now she is living in Nijmegen. Also Hans, Rene and Frank is living in Nijmegen. Marjolein (new bass player) is living in Oss.On the most Dutch gigs, the parents, brothers/sisters/friends and family are their during the gigs...that is so nice to see. The Gathering have also been asked to do the soundtrack for a Japanese movie, The Quiet One. It’s a movie by Danyael Saguwara, a student of the Dutch Film academy and describes the problems, which many Japanese kids have to deal with. They don’t want to leave their rooms anymore and waste their lives away. The quiet one Frank, Anneke and René are all writing music for some education material for high schools. It will be a CD-ROM, which contains music and pictures from every century (baroque, house music, etc.) These songs will come out on a limited album I really hope to get that 1 What do you people wanne know more!?!?!?! Ask me |

Nefertem...Wow, you sure do know a lot of the band! That was a very nice interview you did with Hans. I hadn't read that before. Good questions. I never knew about a song "Mokaka"....I was wondering why Rene uses that name. I really like "Zion" ....I have it on a June 01 concert video. When I first posted, I had forgotten about all the video clips you have on your TG site. Excellent stuff for sure.
I really hope all works out and I will be able to come over to some of the NL shows. I've never been overseas, so I don't know which gigs are closest together. I think I'd probably have to fly to Amsterdam initailly and take it from there. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to take the time off from work. I was saving my vacation time for the US tour they were originally going to do June/July. When that was cancelled, I went ahead and used my vacation time up thinking I wouldn't have another chance to see TG soon. If I make, it it'd be great to see you at the show Nefertem Yes, it's fantastic news Anneke is expecting her first child. I SO happy for her I'm sure she will be a wonderful mother. All the best wishes from me to Anneke and her husband. I am a bit worried the touring might be too much of a strain for her. After all, she'll be 5 months pregnant by the time of the Oct NL gigs and 7 months when the last dates are finished in December. I'm real excited about the upcoming DVD as well I know it'll be fantastic as band are in full control over this one unlike Century Media's cash in with the old "In Motion" DVD. I was under the impression they would be recording one of the upcoming shows for inclusion on the new DVD....do you know which gig it will be? Wow, that be so great to be at the show they film. |

I read that Anekke was 3 months pregnant, so congrats to her! I also read that the Gathering are planning a new album soon, so I can't wait for that!
Now if only I could get them to come where I live and perform my favourite songs, that would rule, lol. In Motion Part 2 rocks, as does Locked Away and Saturine! |

Wonderful that she's pregnant! I wonder if this will affect how long it'll be before a new CD comes out... True, The Gathering DEFINATELY deserve more fans!

LaDiablo: Yup, I have Sleepy Buildings! But I would prefer to hear the original's live, instead of semi-acoustic versions.
Has anyone heard the song Garden of Emotions, by Ayreon? Its features Anekke's vocals. The song is okay, but I only think its okay because of Anekke's vocals, lol. Also, does anyone know who the male singer on A Life All Mine, from Souvenirs is? I've looked but can't find the info, and I'm pretty sure its a guest vocalist, and not anyone else in the band. |
