I read it about a year and a half ago. I liked it a lot. Even though the girl is dead, she experienced a lot of emotions many young people go through. I could not stop crying during the third quarter of the book.

I read the first chapter and it was so horrible that I didn't read anymore. My brother had to read it for school and he said that when he finished the book he felt like committing suicide!

i finally got a copy of this book. its so sad. im not even half way through but i have been crying through most of the book. it was horrible what happened to her, and how she was describing how the guy disposed of her body...and its even more freaky because the murderer is called Mr Harvey and thats the name of my primary school principal, so in my mind he looks like my old principal.
i just read this one part about the girl called Ruth, and it was like i was reading about myself! it was weird

I read this book about 2 years ago...I didn't think it was scary. Although, I had this creepy feeling inside my stomach when I reading details of her death. But in no way was I scared. I thought the book was great because I loved hearing the perspective of a dead young girl...i liked being in her world...rather than the aftermath that she was forced to leave.
The book "Lucky" sounds really interesting...I want that book to be the next one on my list. But I still have some Anne Rice books, the Da Vince Code, and of course...some school reading I'll fall into during the year =( |

I'm about to go into ninth grade, but the first book report I did in 8th grade was on the lovely bones. I think it made people think I was into depressing stuff. The class wanted to know about it lol. It was a damn good book but creepy nonetheless.
