I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this but after you hear the whole album, CMWYS is like.... a tiny little piece of what's coming... I don't even like it that much anymore xD So...my musical opinion about the album...I Love it! I'm into the industrial/darkwave and i think tod hast strong influences of thoose genres...Anyway the only song i didnt exactely like was CMWYS xD...I know...crazy..but when i heard the whole album that song just sounded like crap xD Last edited by Carmen : 09-19-2006 at 02:41 PM. |

Aw man you had to go and say that, I didnt think of that before *is paranoid* Oh well! I love what I have heard so far (Good Enough and Lithium live) Amy's voice is honestly so much better! It is so strong and powerful, yet it can be so delicate and smooth! I can't wait! It is only 2 weeks now!! I love the lyrics to lithium, it is such a beautiful song! Good Enough is really beautiful too! The problem is I have only heard them with a piano, guitar and Cello >__< |

It sounds great.
Much of it is very different- think some techno with neo-classical and enya/yanni. very trancey/moody at times, and then cuts into griding axe guitar. But yeah, a lot of it is Enya-like, but thats not bad. Cross Enya with the guitars and power of CMWYS, and it makes for good sound! And a few of the songs have that scorned feel to it- like CMWYS, but are soft and whisper-like, but with a dark, soft, grinding guitar. "All That I'm Living For" is powerful, in my view. "All that I'm living for- All that I'm dying for" Many of the songs also have a 'haunted'-esque distortion or dissonance to the sound. Cloud Nine the most. Also, Snow White Queen is very mystical/cosmic-ish. hard to describe. Evanescence is certainly more techno-ish (not in a bad way)

I've heard few songs off Open Door and I'm not feeling an AUTOMATIC love... like I did for songs on Fallen.
But I'm sure if I listen to songs few times I'll grow like them a lot.heh. It's not that I don't love the songs or hate them. It took me few times of hearing "Call Me When Your Sober" For me to like it a lot. |
