My opinion about snow white queen thing:
In the song amy is talking about obsessive fans, like it has been said before, not about fans in general. I mean, come on there are a lot of fans that says they want to kill themselfs if they dont know her, and thats creepy. I know that she loves giving messages to her fans in her songs so i dont think she hate us. Why she would hate somebody who love her and buy her stuff? In the song its talking abuot stalkers not about every fan ![]() ![]()

In Snow White Queen she's talking about obsessive fans. The stalkers that made her stay in hotels a lot. That's why she says "stoplight lock the door don't look back undress in the dark and hide from you all of you". She's not talking about fans in general but about those stalkers.
That's pretty bad, any person would not like someone to be obsessed with them like that. This same sort of thing happened to sarah mclachlan and she wrote a song called possession about it and she adores her fans Amy loves her fans if she didn't she wouldn't post on this board. Amy's even said in her post on this board that she loves us! Last edited by Mohammad : 09-11-2006 at 02:20 AM. |

All I want to say is that a few days ago I saw Amy interacting with her fans (including me) in real life and she was very caring and nice and polite, giving hugs and kisses to everyone who wanted (and even those who didn't ask for one). When I tried to talk to her I got very nervous and she noticed that and hugged me. That was very sweet of her. Tell me, do those who hate thier fans ever do that?

Hello. I'm New
I am dying to give my opinion of the new album. Please don't hate me I have been a fan of Evanescence for a long long time and I thought Fallen and Origin were fantastic. I listened to them constantly and I still do now. Although I have some pointers about the new one. 1 It sounds like an Amy Lee solo record even though I know that Terry has been a strong part in the writing process. 2 Is it me or does her voice sound very different in this record I mean it sounds rough I don't mean to be mean but it is no way near the standard of Fallen or Origin. There are some good parts to the vocals but overall the vocals are a bit offputting if you know what I mean. She is basically screeching the stuff out and it sounds forced, like she is oversinging it. Not to mention I hate the overlapping vocals. It sounds very odd. Perhaps it will be better live. I love Amy's vocals on Fallen and Origin though they are beautiful. 3. The songs hardly have any structure. I mean they sound like demos. Sometimes I can't tell what the difference is between the chorus and bridge. What is going on? They also slow down just when you're getting into it. So you can't just rock out to a whole song. 5 It doesn't have the WOW factor that Origin or Fallen had the first time I listened to it. I mean I found it bland and it took a few listens just to get into it. 4 I do like some of the songs so it's not all bad Weight of the world is very good, Snow White Queen also and call me when your sober are probably the best on there. I will continue to support Ev though, even though this is a disappointing effort. I hope the third album is better if they last long enough to do one Maybe I am speaking to soon as well, I mean the record isn't even released yet and the CD versions will hopefully be better quality than the crappy mp3's. That is usually the case. I hope you guys understand my reasoning and hopefully won't jump down my throat and attack me I will definately buy the record though I mean I support the band so I can't just be like No I won't even give it a chance. I hope they rock doing this album live. ![]() |

Its me again...and no I'm not here to bash, just ask some random questions I never got clarification on before.
Ok so as stated by myself before I'm not really digging this CD a whole bunch. It is very slowly growing on me, but I don't know if it will approach my appreciation of Origin or Fallen or Mystary. I am giving it a clean unprejudiced ear though thanks to LacunaAffectus, and I'll actually post a coherent review in a day or so. And for the real reason I'm posting. I would like someone, anyone even, to explain to me this so called industrial sound on this record. I dont hear it at all. I hear at best a hard rock sound. Nothing close to industrial in any way shape or form. So please elaborate because I've been an industrial fan since high school. Ala Pigface, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry(Al Jourgensen is the godfather of the industrial sound, google his name and see). ty
