The Italy/USA game was entertaining but Italy should have won that. They had so many chances and the goal they scored on their own net was retarded. The US played a lot better and they had many scoring chances, I just think it's funny they haven't been able to score yet(on their own) with all the chances they had in this game.

Whatever, it wasn't Italy's best game but I'm still going for them all the way

I'm also glad Ghana won, they deserved it.

Italians are sometimes called spaghetties, i heard it somewhere. cuz they make spaghetti, they invented it. Seems they want to appear superior in socker but they appeared retarted today. Think of that auto-goal. People back home in Italy are gonna laugh at that, and the lucky one that scored the auto-goal gonna be made fun of.
But maybe they put something up in the next play.Italiens.

Actually, the Italians in my area were still celebrating, they still managed to get the 1 point they needed to move them to the top of Group E.

yeah...So Go ghana, screw all you people who thought the Czech was a sure win...pfffffttt heh just kidding.
I'm was proud of McBride to continue playing. I can't believe they took away Beasleys goal...the ref needs glasses, seriously. that was the most inconsistant call making i've ever seen.
And own goals happen. Jeff Agoos scored an own goal in 2002, but the U.S. still won the game. The U.S. stepped up, but had all odds against them, and came out with the tie. It's seriously unlikely that the U.S. will come out of the group. They have to beat Ghana, And Italy has to beat Czech....Hey, It could happen.

I would have to disagree about the Beasley goal being taken away. That was a very clear off-side to me. The most apparent one of the game I'd say, too.

I think that if the US gets out there against Ghana like they did today against Italy, then they could take the game. All they really need is confidence since they have proven that they can play. They should also shoot for an early goal. I'm sure that everyone has seen what it can do to a team when it happens.

I don't know about that off-side goal. It should've been allowed. McBride was in an offside position but he took himself out of the play by moving his feet. He could've interfered but didn't.

That own goal. Just wow! But they happen more often than people think. Just the other day, Croatia scored an own goal. I mean, the ball was riding the line but the Croatian defender's foot put the ball in the net accidentally. The worst own goal I've seen was in the 94 World Cup here in the US. RIP Andres Escobar.

Also, great play from Ghana. Now I have something to throw in my manager's face.

I think I'm the only one who thinks that Beasley's goal was infact offside. Even though the guy in the offside position didn't actually touch the ball, he was close enough to the play for it to be called. I know I would of called it if I were a linesman.

Whether McBride was close to the play or not doesn't matter. The fact is that McBride never played the ball. Had he played the ball then it would've been an offside...no doubt about that. But he didn't. Therefore, it should've been allowed.
