The Spider Queen's Dark Abyss

I never had a you stuff thread to begin with but I decided I'd like to start sharing my work. Hopefully I'll get some constructive criticism that will help me improve. I might not post poetry. not yet anyway. So I'll start off with a painting I did a few years ago. This is actually my third oil painting and my fourth attempt at painting in general. Liquid medias are definately not my forte but I plan on working with it more. It's fun.

The Dolphins 1

I love this picture... not just because it's a dolphin... because it was the first picture I had ever taken with my camera and I got to develope the film and print myself. I wish I had an enlarger so I could keep developing. It was alot of fun. I'll probably just end up taking photography again just so I could use the labs. Anyway, I know this constitutes a double post so I'm sorry. I'm just hoping for people to offer some kind of constructive criticism. I'll probably post some of my amy lee/evanescence work here later but I have to scan it all and uploadit. That might take a while.

You actually PAINTED that first one?????? Are you serious????? It's amazing!!!!!!!! I am so jealous of anyone with artistic talent, as I myself have none. That was an amazing painting. Muchly impressed.

Thanks! Yeah I had a school project that they call "the senior project" and in it you have to learn how to do something, volunteer, or job shadow. As long as you put in 200 hours of work into your project you can basically do anything. I chose to learn to oil paint This was the third in a series of paintings I did for the project. It's not my best work but Pathways was the first painting that I was actually really proud of.

WOW. Really nice work SpiderQueen, as I've said before. I love that painting. I wish I knew how to oil paint... I usually draw or make stuff on my Paint program.. I could stare at that Pathways pic for hours...

Ohh SO pretty. I love it. Wow the colors you used are awesome. The way you painted the trees is perfect the lake is perfect to. My grandmother use to paint but she passed away. She painted kind of like you do.

Amy Lee 1

So I was bored and decided to attempt drawing Amy Lee. I screwed up a lot on it… but it’s my first attempt at drawing her so I’m not that mad at myself for it. Hope you all like it. Thanks so much for your comments. You're all awesome

Wow your first painting is amazing, and l love how that came out. You did a very nice job. I also love your Amy Lee drawing! It's really good.
