Great, my laptop has a heat problem where it just shuts off if it gets too hot and it doesn't take it very long to do. I've been putting off buying a new one for about two years now since I've had this four and a half years, but now I can't avoid it any more. A heat problem is not something I can fix with updating software.

Thing is, when I want nothing less than 6GB RAM in a laptop, it's not going to come cheap.

Knowing her, that means something really fucking bad, and I'm actually going to start crying if it's what I think it is.
