So, I know that The Wizard of Oz is a classic, and loved by many. Knowing that, I felt there should be a thread on this movie.

Do you love this movie? What does it mean to you? What lessons have you learned from it, if any? Who is your favorite character?

Yeah I'm obsessed with this movie hehe. I know all the words to the songs and I sing along during the movie lol (well most of the songs, ya know) I think my favorite character is Dorothy and the Scarecrow AND Glinda lol. Dorothy cause she gets to have Toto, shes a great singer and she's just plain nice and I like it! Scarecrow because he's real brave and you can just tell he has a brain from the beginning. And Glinda....why do I love her. SHES MAGICAALL! duh ^.^

my 4-year-old twin niece and nephew watched it for the first time last night and my sister said they were AMAZED. so i think i'm going to look for the dvd to give them for christmas. hopefully it is out on dvd.

i've always loved the movie. in recent years, i've only watched the first hour though, then the last five minutes.

my favorite part is the when everything turns from black and white to color. the munchin songs, and then when dorothy meets her friends, and their songs. i always get up and dance with them.

im from edinburgh, and yeah its just never occured to me to watch it, or to rent it or anything. i dont even know whats it about.

this just won't due. you simply have to correct this situation.

in summary, it's about a girl named dorothy who wakes up in a fantasy world, meets friends, chased by a witch, and tries to get home. the moral of the story is to appreciate your friends and family. and a lot of times you spend your entire life searching for something, that you've had all along. reminds me of a line from "my immortal." hehe. wonder where ben got the inspiration for that song..hmm.

i know i should know where edinburgh is, but i don't.

I used to love the Wizard of Oz, but I don't really watch it anymore. My favorite part of the movie is when all the munchikins come out to see Dorothy. And the three munchikins that sing the lolipop song, thats my all time favortie part.

My favorite character is the good witch, because she has a sparkly dress.
