Erm, I can't reeeeaallly help you with your debate thing. I know about breaches of the Treaty that have to do with Health. Um. I guess you could say something about, how because Maori are now a minority group (in terms of ethnicity), a lot feel them feel they have to conform to Western society, and therefore as a side effect, lose their own culture.

But it also depends on how you define 'kiwi culture.' I think there's alot of aspects of both Western and Maori culture that have been combined to give us our special one-of-a-kind kiwi culture...but that's probably more an argument for the negative side...

Of course, I'm neither a debater or a specialist in cultures and sociology, so this could all be wrong...

Anyway Suz I was thinking about doing the whole Maori following hip hop americans! It's a good idea!!!!!!!!

Yeah I defined Kiwi as being the culture of New Zealanders and I'm talking about the maori stuff which is an important part of the kiwi culture, another speaker is talking about the americanization and the other speaker is talking about how we are losing the family and whanau thing which was very important to the kiwi culture! Liwern that's a good idea as well!!
