does it really matter if it's "i want to die" or "i long to die" ? it's pretty much the same thing. there's no need for argument. if you still wish to argue about it, please take it to pm.

Awake.At.Night beat me to it. Guys, this is a place to have intelligent discussions and share information about the songs. In this case, Tourniquet. There is no need to get your panties/boxers in a bunch about petty letter pronounciations. The lyrics are posted in the first post of every thread in the Song Forum. I'm going to start deleting dumb conversations about pointless things. And no fluff posting. Don't post for the sake of saying you agree with the person who posted above you. Those posts will be deleted as well.

It exist 2 cd version of this song (I hope) The first take an extract of a film (Romeo and Juliet according to some person) who tell "I long die" and the other who some person told it's Amy (I don't think because I think it's an anonimous voice) who says "I want to die".
My interpretation of this song is based on suicide form or automutilation form and the question of god here is because a person who suicid itself (maybe it's the wrong expression sorry) can't go to the paradise.
It is a suffering song.
It's my preferite one lol ^^

There's 4 versions of "Tourniquet," Evanescence form, in all. Three with the "Romeo and Juliet" clip in them, and then the "Fallen" version, which Amy does scream "I want to die!"

Hmmm... About the clip from the movie...

I was watching that earlier and i was like, "HEY! That's sounds like that one version of tourniquet...

So yeah... she put most of her rant in there, the only part you can make out is "--to speak, I long to die!". And I have a question about copywriting that will go in the ask Evanescence section regarding their 'unpublished songs...

I like the Fallen version best. The others are way too loud and catch me by surprise. I jump every time the music starts in the demos. They're great, though.
