Ok I've had another recollection but this is waaaaay out in left field:

Again, I don't buy the duck thing. The "cackle" ,as it were, sounds awfully a lot like the evil cackle of the demon from Evil Dead that's locked in the cellar. Now, hear me out, there IS this little song that is from Evil Dead. See there's this phonograph in the cellar that the demon spirits/poltergeists play while the main character, Ash, is down in the cellar. It's like an old '30s show tune or something. Hmmm.

Honestly it's just the distorted part of the vocals at the end of the ditty, the cackle and Mr. Moody's fascination with the film Evil Dead that made me think of that. I'm not even sure if Amy is a fan of Evil Dead or zombie movies but that might be it?

Meh, I'm just grasping at straws now.

Renaissance_Festival06 is on a distinguished road
it sounds like a radio trying to find a station
like switching from two different frequencies

vocals:
why its only fair to take me
do i look like a fool?

as for the duck
i think it's a duck caller
or a guitar played
then speeded up to get the high duck pitch

My theory:
The little ditty sounds like Amy singing to me. I think it's her being strange with yodley germanic weirdness and then I think the duck quacking came from a generic sound clip such as this:

ANIMAL SOUND EFFECTS ARE WEEEIIIRRRDDD

..Orrr perhaps it is a random noise to wind everyone up for hours on end because it actually means nothing!

...Someone should have asked at the Q&A session.

Edit: just noticed WiltingRose said she tried too! I agree!

I am just thinking it is one of their songs put on fast forward in the hope they could read all these posts and laugh at us trying to figure out what it actually is. We are so entertaining.

o.O
Things like that really scare me!
I hope I can ever listen to the song again without being afraid!
There used to be a thread "play MI backwards. After I did, I was so scared, I couldn't sleep.
(Being afraid of a song, how sick!!?"
