That is my intention. Even though I totally want to shred through the entire thing all at once... *controls self*

i did contemplate prolonging it but after my hour of panicing when i could not find a bookstore that still had a copy or 2 monday afternoon( it came out here monday and i was unable to escape clinical) i lost all control once i finally had it in my hands and due to the fact that i could not read it through the day i just went for it when i had the time. besides why prolong it when you own it you can read it again and again etc

Because it's just not the same as when you're reading it for the first time and don't know all that's going to happen... and besides, a prolonged, slow satisfaction is much better than an "OMG-YES-oh-it's-over" satisfaction. XD That felt so hawt to type out... *rofls*

SPOILER ALERT!!! I'm typing it in black, so you can highlight it if you have read the whole book...

The whole thing with Jacob imprinting on Renesmee was just plain wierd, also Bella getting pregnant. I was like, WTF???!!! Very strange... anyone else think so?

i very much agree with you, i was very WTF over it, it seemed like she was trying to hard to bring out a perfect ending, yet it works for me. now my bit of speculation for further books being as she said she wanted to continue on- (also in black) is she will be writing from renesmee's point of view. which could work but it instead it will be to much jacob and i want much more edward.

So even though I got the book the second it came out, I just finished it yesterday. It took a major amount of self-control to prolong the inevitible ending, but it was SO worth it...

When I initially read Bella's first part, I didn't feel so attached to the story. I felt confused in many ways - even in that first part, the characters seemed...different to me. The tension/temptation factor of waiting for Bella and Edward to FINALLY do it (lol) was gone, even though I was dying for it to happen. XD And then I was completely blindsided by the whole pregnancy thing. I absolutely didn't think it had any place in this story. It was so...not right for the Twilight series, in my opinion. But that is how I felt at the end of part one.

Jacob completely won me over. I've never held any major dislike for him in the past, but more felt indifference. I've always been all for Edward. But with his part in this book...well, Jake completely stole my heart. One of the main reasons I loved New Moon was because of the way Meyer depicts emotion so well. She made me FEEL it so well, and also at that time of reading it I was going through something myself and felt in many ways like it was described on Bella's behalf. So I felt not alone, and therefore loved it even more. I felt a very similar reaction to Jacob's part in Breaking Dawn. His emotions were written very well, and his uncanny sardonic humor (from his small offhand comments to the actual chapter titles) had me cracking up even when my heart was breaking for him. And, once again...I relate to what the character is going through in the midst of a severe pain. In fact, I felt almost disappointed when Jacob imprinted on Renesme. I felt totally betrayed! In the fact that all this time I was relating to him, and then his pain would suddenly be over...what can I say, I'm a selfish bitch. XD But I was also held in awe, at the beauty of the description of being imprinted upon, to being surprised in an unforseen twist yet again. For me, Jacob's part in this was the very best of the book.

The rest of it, I loved much more than the first part. I loved the tension and suspense building up to the Volturi meeting. I loved the little twists with Alice and Jasper seeming to "abandon" them, with the way Bella's power was developing in several different ways I'd never even thought of before, and with all the little excuses and justifications that the Volturi were coming up with to condemn the Cullens with. That chilled me repeatedly to the bone.

Overall it was a very good book...not perfect by any means, but Meyer, I do believe, is a fluid genius when it comes to depicting emotion, beautiful metaphors, and writing in general. What an intelligent and imaginative mind she has, to have made even SOME of that story work so well.

I totally agree with everything you said, Shivercide. I wasn't sure how to explain it right, but you just did it there. Thanks!

also in agreeance in with you steph- except for wanting Jacob's pain to continue. when i first became aware the second part was in Jacob's perspective i was a little bit worried and unhappy with that but it was hard not get sucked right into Jacob's head like you normally do with Bella. the first Bella part was just very on the surface, there was none of Meyer's characteristic emotional exploration. and i said it before and i will say it again, i was dissapointed by the lack of Edward and also that the relationship dynamic between Bella and Edward was not so central or even really focused upon. part of the attraction of the previous books was the development of the relationships and the emotional exploration. hence me also liking new moon alot there is something there so relatable, regardless of what your feeling, it takes that loneliness and brings it to the forefront of your mind (even when you try to ignore it) but instead of making you wallow it works you through it. well it did for me. but i definetly enjoyed Breaking Dawn more the second time around maybe becuase i knew what to expect i was so dissapointed with the effort to give it that fairytale sort of ending. the whole pregnancy was to fairytale ending for me just becuase it was something that was suppossed to be impossible and IMO in some ways i believe it should have stayed that way- impossible.

Ookay, this following below was quoted oddly..so read at your own discretion

My reply will be marked with spoilers. Highlighting will be helpful.
I was also a bit..taken aback by that part, as well. It seemed like Bella's pregnancy came and went far too fast

Knowing the Twilight series as well as we do, unexpected developments are to be anticipated, I guess. The pregnancy is def one of them.

As for the next couple of books in Renesmee's point of view, that kinda pisses me off. While I do..feel for her, and enjoy her character, I do believe that the next few books should definitely be in Bella's perspective, or at least Edward's =/

Anyway, I LOVE Twilight. Always have, ever since it was released back in 2005. At the time, I was fifteen.

Sadly, I haven't finished reading "Breaking Dawn" because, as said xFarther_Awayx said, this is the last book written in Bella's point of view =/

EDIT: Thanks Shivercide =]
