Twilight [Series]

No thread for these books?
Well, they're amazing and I <3 them. The author is Stephenie Meyer. There's 3 out right now, Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. The 4th comes out in August and Twilight is currently being filmed and the movie is to be released in December.

I have never really been a fan of all the romance shizz, but I think these books are pretty good! Out of the three that have been released so far, i think New Moon is the best. The only thing that made me a sad panda about New Moon (as well as Eclipse) was that there was way too much Jacob in it (but then again, ANY Jacob is too much). no offense to you Jacob <3rs.

I could barely stand reading New Moon! It was so depressing, and when Edward left Bella- I seriously threw the book down cause I was mad, haha. And Jacob annoyed me so bad in Eclipse! Some of his smartass comments are funny, but most of the time I wanted to smack him.

hahaha I agree completely. I did the same with New Moon . I don't really think i have the courage to read it again because it depressed me so much, but I honestly couldn't put it down until I finished it completely

And about Jacob... I was so happy when Bella punched him in Eclipse. Best. moment. ever.

QFT! 'No Emmett, I punched a werewolf in the face', hahaha, priceless.

I'm re-reading the series, but I'm sure I'll rush through New Moon. The books are addicting! I stayed up until the wee hours of morning many times reading them.

This is absolutely, positively, hands-down, one of my favorite book series ever. Not many have come close to pwning me so well.

But I'll have to disagree about New Moon. It's probably my favorite book of them all (so far) and this is because...

There has never been any one book that has rocked my emotions harder. Of course, it was a great comfort to me, because while I was reading this I actually felt just as Bella described. In reality, I was feeling so hurt myself due to things happening in my life, and this book was like a savior to me. It made me feel less alone, even though that sounds silly considering it's a book. But it's the truth. The level of detail and depiction to describe just how Bella felt and what she was going through was amazing. The author thoroughly and completely captured these emotions.

It definitely touched me the most out of the entire series.

I definitely understand what you mean. The book really draws you in and you can imagine and really feel how Bella is feeling. That's why I tried to hurry through it the first time, when she was upset, I felt upset and I just wanted Edward to come back and for her to be happy again.

I love this series, my favorite so far would have to be Twilight. I can't wait for Breaking Dawn!

i absolutely love this series, but i have to say that my favorite has to be eclipse. i love the suspense, and the part where bella attempts to seduce edward. i found it slightly funny. however, i really did want to kick jacob's ass when he kissed bella. i absolutely loved it when bella says, "no emmett, i punched a werewolf in the face"

I've also read these books, and I was totally in love with them. I found them to be very relatable, especially New Moon, even though it was depressing, I felt the same way after I broke up with my boyfriend, because it was really the first relationship I'd been in that I actually cared about and was the longest I had been in. I thought it was really affective in New Moon when she kindof just has a few pages saying different months, which I think emphasized even better than deep description about the numbness and emptiness Bella was going through, like her life wasn't really even worth documenting. Everyone seems to hate Jacob, and ya, he was pretty annoying in some parts(well alot, depending on who you're talking to) But I really liked him in New Moon because of how he helped Bella out and I thought he was really nice and caring. He was definately one of my favourite characters. I feel a little tired of these books now, because after I had read the books, one of my other friends started reading Twilight, and I was so excited that we were talking about it all the time, and then our other friends started reading them, and now pretty much every girl in my school has read them :'( I was the first one! Now it makes the book seem alot less personal and special
