US Open

I'm in the middle of watching the Baghdatis/Agassi match...holy crap, this is intense! Agassi is retiring after this so I'm hoping he wins.
Anyone else in to this? I know tennis isn't the most popular sport, but I enjoy playing/watching it quite a bit. Ofcourse, soccer will always pwn my soul.

I love watching tennis. Why does this match have to 5 sets I have to get up in the morning. But Im rooting for Agassi. I have a feeling its going to be a Roddick Federrer final though.

FINALLY!!!! Agassi is up 5-4 in the fifth....dear lord, let him win the next one!
Agassi was up 2-0 and than Baghdatis came back in the next two, and this fifth has just gone back and forth...BLAH

edit: FINALLY! Agassi won! w00t!!!

I watched it too. The one tonight I mean. One of the greatest matches of all time! How long can Andre keep this up? I'll miss him. It's so great to see a guy succeed mostly because he just works is ass off harder than anyone else - even at 36!

Bagdadatis's (sp?) interview was very classy. He could have been pissed (probably was) that the crowd was against him the whole way (the booing at one point I thought was wrong) and disappointed that he worked his ass off out there and lost (let's face it, he lost by one point - and with cramping muscles) but instead he paid tribute to Andre. That was impressive.

It's Baghdatis, and his whole "cramping muscles" thing was a bit...weird...he was limping like crazy, and than the next game he was fine after his trainer rubbed his leg for a minute. but oh well. Both men played an excellent match and it honestly could have gone either way, but I'm not going to lie, I'm glad Agassi won.

I think the booing was very unclassy, and I'm sure it disgusted a lot of the "proper" tennis fans, but I guess it was bound to happen eventually.
