The beginning of a poem I'm writing about a guy that I used to know. I was with him for a long time. It's not done yet, but this is the basis.

Something inside me still bleeds
Sometimes I believe that nobody living
Has felt the sorrow that I've held inside
For so long

No longer naive
For I heard my name called from the Darkest Stars long ago
Yes, never again will I find myself left shattered by dismay

And maybe inside
I'm still longing
To feel your raging breath
Intoxicating me
With the pain of your anger
As I hide beneath the bloody sheets
Too scared to breathe
Yes, maybe I'm still wishing that I'll feel your fist
Put me in my place
Yet again one day
For then, as the memory still shows me
Was the only time that I felt truly wanted
Through black and blue
Tears and terror
And countless nights
Sobbing for hours in the corner
Through razor lines - My only savior
As I waste away
I knew I always belonged

I still thank God
That the pain you felt
Was inflicted on me, and never yourself
I loved you much more than the
Scars will show
And the stories will ever tell.

I just read this whole thread and I have to say I'm hella impressed. Your writing is sad and beautiful. The last poem you posted is my favourite. I couldn't pick a favourite line from it, because they are all amazing.

These are a few of my favourite lines from some of the other ones;

April, your last unfinished poem left me in total awe.

All the emotions you portray (on each one of your poems) are so raw and intense but at the time so sensitive, there's no need to portray a very detailed image just to understand them.

It'll be worth the wait for the last one.

Here's what I need.
In about a month and a half, there's a huge tattoo convention coming to my city. One of my... long lost friends is coming from across the country to compete in it. He needs a piece of artwork to tattoo (on myself) ...But it has to be drawn by someone else. So that's where you guys come in. The cash prize for the winner would be $100 dollars Canadian (Since I happen to live in Canada

) ...Which was the prize for the people selected to compete. I'll mail that to you in whatever form you would prefer.

What it has to contain, though (this is my own preference since it's going to be permanently dyed into my skin for the rest of my human life

)....

I'd like for it to contain a girl with long, black hair. Face showing..or not. A crown of either barbed wire, or thorns...Or both. Vines/flowers are good too. It would be cool for her to be kneeling....or bent over onto her knees in a praying/mourning position in front of a tombstone or some such. I'll be using this symbol:

as a moon so that's not a concern. Also if you want, you could include the words "I love The Night, it would murder my soul should I ever fall blind..." somewhere in the drawing. On the tombstone or not. Wings/water/blood ...Whatever else you want to do to make it look cool.... If you have any good ideas then feel free to include those.

I'm not a great drawer...But I know there's a bunch of people here who are. (Though it can totally be something simple, as well...I just suck

) So if you're interested (and possibly want to win some cash

).... I'd love the help. Thank you guys.

Not really sure if this looks even a little the way you want it but I guess I'll try.
I didn't want to include the written thing with my own handwriting, I think (just my opinon) it's better for you to get it done with a cool pre-desingned font that you may find in internet or something, but still if you want it the other way I guess I can come out with something.
ok here is the drawing, hope you like it, it's already in my stuff thread but I thought it fits the description you've given, (it's inspired in the angel of grief monument) so, hope you like it!

So I'll be waiting for your opinion

apologies for the double post, but I completed three last night while I ... couldn't sleep.

I left the writing up to you, because I wouldn't know how you'd want the font, or the placement.

I'm not all too happy with them, so I am determined to do a good one before the week is out.. Thats if I don't have to work.

Cool, this sounds really good. Well, I'm not a good drawer at all but I'm gonna take part in this, and do my best to try and come up with a good one. I don't know any techniques or anything and I'm not too good at drawing from memory or anything but I'll try. I need a project to work on. How much time is there to do this?

You know, you should totally ask teh Orgo for such a picture. He's been inspired to draw fantasy as of late, and I know for sure his drawing would kick major bootie!

I'll give it a go as well, just for fun. The funny thing is I just started a drawing of a fairy like that.
