I appreciate it. I like Ben's idea too. It's all about interpretation. If you see his idea more, I've got no problem with it.

Everybody seems to LOVE the straight jacket part. I'm the crazy one for thinking it and you guys are crazy for following it. That's why I love you guys .

I figured it's just easier to put my video ideas in one thread. Even though Amy said My Immortal most likely won't be a single and won't have a video, I figure I'd give my idea of it anyway.

First, Imaginary.

I put a little bit of the idea in the Evanescence Chat section.

A little girl (with a black dress patterned with roses) is running through a field of white flowers before the music starts. The music starts she jumps in slow motion and then lands as the the first riff hits at the same time.

There are some shots between the little girl playing and the band performing.

When Amy (who's dressed in a white corset) is shown singing "Where the wind...tell a story", a rain starts to fall, but the rain is not clear. The rain is red like blood. Eventually towards the end of the video Amy's white dress will turn blood red and so will the white roses.

The little girl is still playing in the fields. She looks into a microscope and sees reality in her world. She's frightened. The roses on her patterned dress start to fade away. The little girl realizes she can't take anymore of reality.

So she continues playing in the fields and starts to notice things that wouldn't have been a part of her reality. There are all sorts of strange looking monsters or hybrid animals, but she embraces the monsters because even though the monsters look harsh, reality is harsher. The roses on her dress begin to reappear.

During the bridge to the end, the girl is shown sleeping in her bed and then it shows her in her dream walking toward the "imaginary light"

Before the last chorus, the little girl is in her bed violently shaking.

The band is shown mostly with Amy singing the last chorus while the little girl walks into the light. At the end of the song, the girl finally wakes up.

The setting of this video is at a funeral home.

There are pictures of a wife and her dead husband who was a soldier who died in the war.

The wife is standing next to the coffin reminiscing of the relationship that was and pondering what could have been.

The wife is lipsyncing some of the words of My Immortal
"Your presence still lingers here and it won't leave me alone"

After she says those words an apparition of the husband appears behind the wife whispering in her ear, the wife turns around and sees him there.

She thinks the husband is really there. The husband and wife are holding each other and dancing to the music of My Immortal even though there's no actual music played at the funeral home.

Again the wife says some words of My Immortal:
"You used to captivate me by your reasonating light, now I'm bound by the life you left behind."

After those words, she's thinking about how her husband was killed. The husband is shown trying to save other people from being hit by bombs and bullets. The husband gets hit (although that's not shown, that's implied). Then the video finally goes to Amy and Ben (Amy playing the piano, Ben playing the guitar, and an ensemble of violins in a room full of candles) from "your face it haunts...all the sanity in me". Then it cuts to the wife saying "there's just too much that time cannot erase" and there's a shot to Amy and Ben singing the second verse.

The wife begins to realize that the husband isn't really there and the husband fades by "I've been alone all along". She starts to cry.

Due to the new version, I think the room that Amy and Ben are in should light up and show John, Rocky and Will performing with Amy and Ben towards the end once the band kicks in.

Amy sings the last chorus and the wife begins to leave the funeral home.

I want to try one of their earlier songs later.

A simple fear to wash you away
An open mind cancelled it today

There is a man sleeping in the beginning of the video in his house in his bed. He is the boyfriend of Amy in this video. The music starts and the camera edits into his head.

He is shown in a maze (the maze is his brain). Everytime he tries to find an opening to get out of the maze he either finds himself in a dead end or he sees Amy singing the words or Ben playing the guitar or David Hodges playing the organ.

Amy is shown singing certain lines of the song
"There’s something wrong with everything you see"
The man can't get out of the maze. Everything he sees seems to change and so the maze changes.
"But I, I know who you really are"
"You can’t escape"

Finally towards the end of the video, the man thinks of a way to escape. He is trying to escape by waking up. After "You can’t escape/You don’t want to escape" the man wakes up, only to find Amy, Ben, and David playing the final part of the song. He starts to run out of his room and still can't escape because everytime he opens a door, he finds Ben or David going 'yeah yeah' playing their instrument (it would be really funny and stupid at the same time if the guy found Ben in the bathroom taking a dump, playing his guitar and Ben was singing the 'yeah yeah' part.).

Anyway, at the end of the video he runs out of the house with what he wore to bed.

Ben Moody is playing the guitar at a park and church images are shown at the start (yeah, I know you're going to kick my ass for it, but it's necessary for this video to work) as the chanting begins.

Amy Lee (dressed in a black corset) is singing and walking through the park. She sings the first line and she's shown as a child playing in the same park. Young Amy is playing in the park. Fade back to Amy singing the second line through the end of the first chorus and
there is a split fade with David Hodges is playing the piano in the church (In other words you can still see the both of them. Amy's side of the screen blends in with David's side).

When Amy sings the first line of the second chorus, Young Amy is shown playing in the water during a summery day.

Amy is now sitting in the park, shivering singing "Somehow it seems colder now"

After she sings "...believing in everything" there is a fade into the same church that David is in showing the choir chanting. There is a priest lipping the words that Ben says during the choir chant. Young Amy is standing next to a coffin sobbing (the coffin represents the loss of innocence).

Now the band is shown together at the park performing the last part of the song.

Towards the very end Ben's guitar is shown as he is playing it and the picture fades and stutters away (kind of like the effect in the audio)

It's alot more effective with said songs playing while reading them... oh yeah...

I think that doing this is kind of easy actually because the songwriters paint such a clear picture that sometimes the song leaves itself open to such an idea.

Anyway, I decided to edit the Field of Innocence one because I had a great idea towards the end.

I hope that if you listen to the song that these are some of the images you get.
