It starts with Amy holding a knife to her wrist. At the same time the music starts she cuts her wrist. There is a shot of Amy at a hospital bed viciously shaking in the bed (she's tied down). She sings the first few lines and blood starts to pour once she says "crimson regret and betrayal". For the first chorus a priest is shown lipping the words of the chorus and holding Amy's hand (the one she cut).

She repeats the chorus and the second verse cuts to Amy at a church (she is wearing a black dress with black angel's wings). For the second chorus, there is a shot of the band performing Tourniquet live. For the breakdown, there are shots of Amy Lee's flying around like a ghost around Amy in the hospital bed singing the chanting part and Amy can't take it and screams "I LONG TO DIE!!!". Amy's wound on her wrist begins to heal as the video ends, but then she gets a stigmata (the wounds like the crucified Jesus on her hands, feet and head) at the end.

I prefer the earlier version of BNM with the drum machine, but it could work for both.

Anyway, the video starts with Amy looking at the mirror (sound familiar?) singing the words "I've been looking in the mirror for so long" but the important thing to note is that there isn't a shot of the mirror yet. The shot of the mirror comes when Amy sings "I've come to believe my soul's on the other side."

She screams in agony, she hates what she has seen and she breaks the mirror "Oh the little pieces falling, shatter." I think a cool effect would be that shards of Amy on the glass singing some parts of the song. Amy tries to pick up the pieces and miraculously puts the mirror back together, but she cuts herself and bleeds on the mirror. The blood falls on Amy's (from the mirror) hands.

So eventually after Amy puts the mirror back together, the mirror comes back in one piece, but Amy shatters like the glass after the last "I breathe no more".

I'm wondering if I should put up another one, because the other ones that I'm thinking about are more performance videos than anything else like Anywhere, Before the Dawn, and Farther Away.

I like doing the ideas for songs that weren't on their album. I think it makes it a little more challenging.

This video kind of leaves of where Bring Me to Life where Amy is falling from the building.

After she sings "catch me as I fall" she hits the ground.

She's alone in a street that should be full of people (think of the Always video by Saliva). Actually this video should seem a lot like Always. She's all alone and doesn't know where to turn.

She's crying on the verge of madness waiting for someone to come help her, save her (from the nothing she's become. Why? Because she's all alone).

She comforts herself with the words "I can stop the pain if I will it all away"

Finally after the line "forsaking all i've fallen for i rise to meet the end"

Ben and the rest of the band show up for Ben's guitar solo and then all of the sudden the rest of the city comes out of thin air and crowds the band, but the band including Amy disappears and the video ends. The crowd is chanting the Latin hymn to end and they go on even through the end of the music. Cheers are then heard by all of the crowd (who are in reality Evanescence fans).

Amy is in a room. It's as if she were in solitary confinement. She looks out of her window and it is pouring and then she hears voices in the raindrops saying listen, listen. There are boys and girls in the raindrops singing listen, listen.

She's thinking about something that happened to a member of her family in the rain. Someone close to her got into an accident or something like that and she remembers all of the days she spent with that someone.

For that last verse that someone that Amy is thinking about appears and lips the words of Listen to the Rain and she tears up with joy with a closeup of the storm towards the end.

Open your eyes to the love around you
You can feel youre alone
But I'm here still with you
You can do what you dream
Just remember to listen to the rain

A woman is angry and writes a letter to her boyfriend saying please, please forgive me but I won't be home again.

It shows the boyfriend not paying attention to the girlfriend. She gets smaller as she says the words Am I that unimportant...?
Am I so insignificant...?

And disappears as she sings Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me? and the boyfriend still doesn't pay attention.

Now back to writing the letter as she's writing the letter pieces of her begin to disappear until she disappears completely. The letter on top says "Missing" as she finishes writing the lyrics to the song like a letter.

The boyfriend after the girlfriend disappears rips up the paper.

It starts out at a canyon of some sort with Amy, Ben. and David and the music starts.

A young lady (other than Amy) is sitting at her house writing the first few lines of the song.

The lady runs to the guy's house and drops the letter off.

For the second verse, Amy, Ben, and David are on top of 3 different rocks in the water.

The guy reads the letter and goes to the house.

The girl isn't at the house. So he goes looking everywhere for her.

He's almost in a panic. He finally finds her and they elope. They run off and then the next shot has Amy, Ben, and David in a forest. Amy and David are singing some of the lyrics to the boyfriend and girlfriend and after "no one's left to stop you now" at the same time the bf/gf kiss, Ben Moody "makes love with his guitar" (guitar solo) .

They change scenery again winding up in the middle of an empty street to sing the last part of the song.

The man and woman kiss each other towards the end and fireworks are set off near the water where Amy, Ben, and David were during the second verse.
